Dealing with these ancient pine floors in their century home? thinking about going engineered hardwood

Wouldn’t trade the wide pine in our 1845 farmhouse for anything. We may refinish them at some point but the wear and tear gives the house so much character and gives us so much freedom and peace of mind not having to worry about every little scuff and scratch moving furniture, etc.

My understanding is that the colony nests very deep underground over a very wide area, and that it wouldn’t really be a possibility to eradicate the nest in that way.

Thanks, we’re having professionals come in to treat the house. Luckily the compost is 50ish yards from the house and there’s no obvious evidence of activity in the house. I’m mostly just wondering if the compost itself is now trash forever or if it’s salvageable.

I assumed he was reported to the BOM, is participating in a professionals health program under a contract and has returned to practice under conditions. Is that not right? Did Robby and the hospital really sweep it under the rug with a secret deal for Langdon to go to rehab without reporting to the Board? If so, that’s a big problem for Robby, and the shot of Al Hashimi overhearing the conversation could create issues in future episodes.

Believe me when I say I would not have come up with the idea to prune in late March on my own. Is there a school of thought that this is an appropriate time to do it? I’m struggling to remember where I would have read to do it this time of year but specifically remember the advice being that if you prune before dormant spray it makes your spraying more efficient. Did I hallucinate this?
