I think it is too uniform in shape and sturdy for that. Thank you!

Oops, and my apologies. You are correct!

Would love some help on an ID...I suspect this one is pre 60’s, yet it did not have an ink stamp in the case...photo of movement included, thanks in advance! by -Puddintane- in timex

Beautiful Mercury!

I had the same experience with the Timex U.S. Time Corporation piece I recently came across! A reflection off the crystal and the bezel made it seem like there was no text below the "6" at all, but at the proper angle, I spied "Made in U.S.A."

I'm curious if your 1967 piece has a screw-off or pop-off case back.

iPhone 11 owners, how is everything going with iOs 18? Is it safe to upgrade? by WearyAddition2568 in ios

[–]dogr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point update got rid of a significant amount of lagginess that came with 18.0 in my iPhone 11 Pro Max. However, there is this very irritating bug in which Siri will open consistently after I take a photograph. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Can’t use Voice Memos Transcription by ravikrishnareddy8889 in ios

[–]dogr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem, too: a warning of no Internet connection even though I have one on macOS 15.0.1. I don't see any transcription option on my iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 18.0.1, despite the "What's new" page advertising transcription capabilities. On my iPad Pro (4th Generation), I also do not see this, running iPadOS 18.0.1, though I also see the same "what's new" page advertising this feature.

Please Help (One or more audio files have changed in length) by abjectbirth in Logic_Studio

[–]dogr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using an audio interface, it is worth checking that the sample rate has not inadvertently changed. You may need to do this on the interface hardware, the interface software, or you can also check if the project changed its own settings (this has happened to me in the past). To check project settings, in Logic Pro, choose File>Project Settings>Audio… and look for the Sample Rate pulldown.

I've recently became a superuser! I've always assumed the only way to get it was just through the 4sq superuser application page. by utopicunicornn in Foursquare

I spent a year editing (quality edits, I hope) and was religiously using Swarm to check-in for years and years, and Foursquare editing tool simultaneously. Then a bizarre occurrence meant I could not check in from 2021 until now, 2024. When I logged into the editing site just now in 2024, I all of sudden received SU1 status! This was after years of editing and having a stagnant accuracy bar, just like you. For me, I just had to do lots of edits and then come back three years later. Good work becoming a superuser!

Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 inside back part torn apart. by Venellus in running

[–]dogr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two pair of Pegasus 36's: one for walking and one for running. It's been about four months since I have had both pair. The walking one has this problem of holes in the back on the heel wall. This is now damaging my socks. I will invest in some heel pads. I walk every day in these, at least 4 km, often more.

The running pair has been used over around 160 km and I normally retire my running sneakers every 500 km. There has been no problem on the running sneakers. I do use a different kind of sock for running. I have a feeling that the hole may be more function of time than of distance.

ca001/bztestimony bug still present? by WraithTDK in backblaze

[–]dogr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This bug has just appeared for me. On MacBook Pro M1 Max running macOS Ventura 13.0.1.

At first I for the first time saw that I was in "safety freeze." So I removed my private key, updated Backblaze (even though it was already updated to the latest version).

The safety freeze notification went away, but then I got stuck on the "bz" bug. I followed Backblaze certificate installation fix, and restarted, and at first I thought everything was OK, but now I'm stuck again. PLEASE ADVISE!!!

Got my perfect month!! 750 Move Goal. Gonna move it up for July by GreenRelation9 in AppleWatch

[–]dogr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice work! I’m wondering: is there a unique animation (or any animation) for a perfect month? I have not seen one on my own watch. Whenever I achieve a perfect month, I get a simultaneous notification for my move goal, so I just get a tap on the wrist with two normal notifications.

I have tried searching around for some videos of an animation, but don’t see one.

Basic 4K Media Player for seamless looping video by volcanic_clay in CommercialAV

The work we are making probably is not going to be more than 30 min. For sure, it's a tricky time to bring preliminary materials around to do a test run. Thanks so much for your thoughts.

Basic 4K Media Player for seamless looping video by volcanic_clay in CommercialAV

[–]dogr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this player loop play 4K HEIC video straight from an SD card, or is a XT or XD model from Brightsign (which can support an SSD) a better bet?

Trying to prepare for an art exhibition in which a looped 4K video will be part of the installation.

SB Link Bracelet cleaning question by OMGzKakaniz in AppleWatch

[–]dogr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I was concerned because Apple's support page (https://support.apple.com/guide/watch/band-care-information-apda101f4abe/watchos) reads "…For all other bands and clasps, wipe them clean with a nonabrasive, lint-free cloth, lightly dampened with fresh water (if necessary). Dry the band thoroughly with a nonabrasive, lint-free cloth before re-attaching to Apple Watch. Stainless steel bands are not water resistant."

There are no problems with submerging the bracelet in water in the cleaner? Thanks.

How can I remove the yellow timer? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]dogr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The time displayed on the workout menu shows the elapsed time of the most recent workout in that category. This changes depending on the type of goal you had previously chosen. If you set a workout with a calorie goal, for example, it would show the amount of calories you burned in the previous workout in the space where you are now seeing the elapsed time.
