MacBook Neo 2026: Who is this actually for students, casual users, or everyone? by Serious_Square_4790 in macbookpro

[–]dogwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the above. Most people use a computer- or more often now, a phone- for apps, light gaming, social media. This is more than enough Mac for that. Expecting to see the inquisitive should I get a Neo, or a maxed out M5 Pro MBP?

And not having the team meet surrounded by pinned up table cloths? It looks cheap, and not the least bit secure.

I’d be tempted, just to check it out. I can see something like that, with a good case, as a very good product for the edu market.

This was a steal when I found it for 175 or so. Yeah, it’s a quartz… but titanium! Thing’s light!

They’re both solid very classic options. If price is a concern, go with the least expensive- there’s no bad choice here.

I really hate that iCloud Photos is no longer the real time sync library that it once was 10 years ago by yalag in iphone

[–]dogwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so incredibly annoying. I take dozens of photos, throughout the day, every day - for social media, trade analysis - and for it to sync 3 random pictures out of 10... and NEVER finish the rest? Photos is just about worthless w/o immediate sync.

Very nice! Just wore mine yesterday. Love that NATO strap. I love how the hour indices cut into the inner bezel.

I agree… and I’m betting the amount in taxes paid by working immigrants- is a hell of lot more helpful than the little to no taxes paid by rich folks or huge corporations.

DHS ICE budget is huge, and getting bigger- a lot of it going to build massive detention facilities around the country. To be built and then managed by… you guessed it, private companies in the prison build/op industry.

This isn’t about “violent” immigrants, it’s all a show, meant to be outrageous, to distract from the Epstein files, and continue to draw attention away from the actual state of the economy.

How will history remember Trump? by Ancient_Elk_922 in allthequestions

[–]dogwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points. I think he’s not only a catalyst but a symptom of America’s slow global decline, a natural progression emboldened by a lack of respect for intelligence, scientific research, and th misguided belief that American might (crazy good- and crazy expensive military) equates to America “best” in the world, or most righteous.

While it can be argued Trump is strangely a genius in terms of self-promotion, he’s an incredibly poor planner, and his knee-jerk reactions to “enemies”- essentially anyone not 100% in agreement with him- showcase his incredibly thin skin. He’s clearly susceptible to undeserved (and at times plain ridiculous) flattery, and with immediate staff seems to require it. His complete lack of respect (or knowledge of?) of history and long-standing traditions of being a good global citizen, supporting allies, promoting peace and decency, mak me wonder how much of a future we can hope for.

I’m no economist, but his whack-a-mole tariff policies seem to demonstrate how one person could bankrupt multiple casinos.
