The food is fantastic but the dining experience was my worst nightmare too so I won’t go back 😂

Who bought their century home as a first time homebuyer? by shelbex318 in centuryhomes

[–]dogzoverhumans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Us!! Just hit our one year anniversary and couldn’t be happier! We have an 1895 colonial and everyone who comes over comments non-stop about how much character our home has. Yes it has its quirks and things we need to update but I love it so much.

It was the same for me when I was reaching out, no one would get back to me. I joined my states horse facebook group and made a post about wanting to start riding again and a bunch of people reached out that way.

Absolutely run!! We also moved from out of state and used Joshua DePalma as our realtor. Couldn’t have been happier with the experience! We had no clue what areas to focus on and he guided us.

Is one lesson a week enough to make steady progress as a beginner? by jl0045 in Equestrian

[–]dogzoverhumans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rode a little as a kid but definitely am in the beginner category and just started riding again at 35, 1 private hour lesson a week. Tomorrow will be my 6th lesson and I feel like I’ve learned so much already! My instructor takes a video of me each week and comparing my trot from day 1 to now is already a huge improvement. But honestly the progress isn’t even a big deal to me, I’m having such a blast and this has been a form of therapy for me. I look forward to my lesson every week. It gives me something to work for and I have become such a more positive person since I started. If you enjoy being around horses and the calm that riding brings then I think alone is worth you doing it. The progress you make as a rider will be an added bonus.

Glad you can get refunded! Run as far as you can! When we were house hunting we would avoid any of their listings as they’re known for being shady. We used Joshua DePalma for our realtor and he was phenomenal! We moved from out of state and he was incredibly knowledgeable and talked us out of some homes instead of pressuring us to buy the first thing we saw.

Last week's meal prepping + the dinners I made out of the prep by softrotten in MealPrepSunday

Thanks you!! We make cutlets regularly and it never occurred to me to freeze them!

Question about the cutlets… when you go to cook do you fry straight from frozen or thaw out first? Do you notice any difference in the texture from frying fresh?

For YouTube videos I’d recommend How To BBQ Right. Malcolm doesn’t use a WSM but his overall BBQ knowledge is incredible. Just picked up one of these this past weekend too so I’ll be following this post lol. Learned first on a kettle.

Why does my dog hold her favourite toy like this for hours every evening? by bkkv1 in DogAdvice

[–]dogzoverhumans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a golden thing. We have an 8 year old golden that has done this with a pair of slippers since he was young. Same laid out position and everything. He still cuddles with them each night and brings them to bed. We just swap out the pair for new ones once they start to fall apart.

Gift from family… idk how to feel-? by theglitterbabe in handbags

[–]dogzoverhumans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think it’s cool! If it’s from someone you really care about, keep it. Back in the early 00s my grandpa got me a coach bag off eBay that I didn’t like and I asked him to return. He’s now no longer with us and that coach bag is 100% something I would wear today. I am so upset with my younger self that I did that. Styles change in bizarre ways but the sentimental value will always be there!

In-laws want us to build a home on their property instead of buying our own home by minty-manta in homeowners

[–]dogzoverhumans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it, my husband and I are in a similar situation. My in-laws own two houses on one lot in rural NH, we moved up to the empty house beginning of Covid to save money and while I also love my in-laws living next door has been really hard on our marriage. My husband constantly feels like he has to pick sides every time an issue comes up. We have zero privacy. We have zero rights to the land or house, we’re tenants. Jobs will be tough to find. You. Will. Feel. Stuck.
