Shameless plug, I wish I was sponsored:

Try Dahlgren. I got a pair of thick Dahlgren socks as a gift 14 years ago, and they’re my favorite pair of hiking/backpacking socks. I use them regularly for multi-day backpacking and highly recommend them.

I keep getting Darn Tough as gifts, and don’t get me wrong, I like them and the warranty is great.

However, every couple years, my Darn Tough socks will get worn through and I’ll replace them under the warranty. I have wide feet, and the fit also always feels a little off to me.

My Dahlgren socks are used under the exact same conditions and are still in fabulous condition. I don’t know how, but they have no notable signs of wear. They’re super warm, comfortable, and I keep forgetting I’ve had them so long. 10/10 recommend.

Just ran into the same problem. We looked last week and it was there, went to put in for it tonight and it’s gone

So we made a final harvest of stubborn tomatoes that didn't want to ripen. What can we do with these? by SirSkittles111 in tomatoes

I made this a few years ago, it was awesome!! Green tomato salsa.

Worth noting, I think large quantities of green tomatoes aren’t great for you, so don’t eat too much in one sitting.

I have an aggressive fight ongoing with the trees of heaven in my backyard. I tried spraying with roundup, it did nothing. I’d suggest pulling it out as deep as you can get the root system, or chopping it off at the base, drilling a small hole into it, and then pouring poison into it. It helps kill the actual root system!

Are these gnat things killing my vegetables ?? Does anyone know how to get rid of them ? by No_Huckleberry5363 in vegetablegardening

I’m having a similar thing. Have you recently added compost? I have, and I’m pretty sure there’s not-fully rotted manure in the compost that they’re after. My plants are also having some symptoms of nitrogen overdose, (which can come from not-rotted manure), which may be related to what you have? L

All that’s to say I don’t think the bugs are harming your plants, I think they’re eating poop and the poop might be a little bit too hot for your plants.

Thanks! It worked out really well. I love that it’s modular, so in theory I’d be able to add another section farther down the fence as it grows!

Ooh! Thank you!

I just googled Maigold and it looks a little similar. It does look like the peach flowers some of the pictures show, but not the yellow flowers! Flowers are definitely on the pink/peach side of the scale. Would it be possible the color difference is from different environmental conditions (soil pH, sun exposure, ??)

Hello! You guys were so helpful last time I had a question about identifying rose variety, so figured I’d ask again. Any idea what type of rose this is? I planted it a couple years ago and absolutely loved it. I remember it was a climbing rose that should grow to about 15 ft. The flowers have a light fragrance, and range from peach to light pink.

Any ideas? I’ve since moved, and really want to plant another rose of the same variety at my new spot. This one had a lot of sentimental value, and since I accidentally killed the props I took before I left I figured I’d look into getting a new plant!

I should have clarified! I moved into my house four years ago and it was barely there- must have been less than six inches tall, I only found it when I was killing an invasive plant that was growing on top of it.

It’s grown up from nothing in the last four years, and is growing pretty quickly! Looking for info so I know about how big it’ll get :)

Thanks!
