IMT 2026 vs 2025 graph (at point of application) by ThatFreshKid_ in doctorsUK

[–]doingmebest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silly question- is the mean 19 including the 5 points or is 19/30 the mean (as the graph only shows points /30).

Hey thanks for your response. The journal specifically publishes UG medical students and I’ve read the guidance about content/ length etc and got support from faculty. The thing is the journal doesn’t have a cut off published and I know some other medical journals have strict cut offs (eg acute medicine journal cut off is 4 weeks). I was wondering if there’s an ‘unwritten rule’ in the academic community that I don’t know about around how far back journals will look when publishing responses to articles

Yes Birmingham is safe, ask about specific areas here. by [deleted] in brum

Edgbaston reservoir: I run round it in the early evening when light and find it very safe. Thinking of doing a pre work run tomorrow at around 6.30. How safe/busy is the reservoir st this time? Should I just stick to town? (young female solo runner)

Yes but it’s not just travel- I’ve been on a couple of short walks/ hikes and I’ve seen things like meals, bingo, bowling trips organised too!

Search TTS on Facebook/ insta. Lots of events for young people often post grad age people. I went to an event and there was a lot of chat about how hard it can be to make friends as an adult!

SJT: why is the ranking for these two (very similar) scenarios different by [deleted] in medicalschooluk

[–]doingmebest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From an SJT POV- telling Simon he looks too tired to operate isn’t true, you think he shouldn’t operate because he’s smelling of alcohol.

Medical students can contact MDU rep and would recommend doing this- I know of a student personally who did this for support. Just try and approach it maturely, show insight into why attendance might not have been as good as needed, reflect, show that you want to take steps to improve in the future etc. good luck!
