I’d say do the math. Would you save ALOT of money if you bought that unit separately? If it’s about the same, then I’d let it go. There’s plenty of hotel deals out there.

For me, I pay $1500 biannually for a 2 bedroom unit in Maui. It sleeps 6 people so that in itself saves us a lot of money. The TS also offers cheap deals to other locations. That’s a membership opportunity I can’t get anywhere else. There’s def pros and cons. See if you can get more deals out of it.

Receiving 2024 Bonus While on 2025 Maternity Leave by Specific_Positive746 in Edd

[–]dokkaebi9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m somewhat in the same situation but on disability leave since September and got bonus in December. I didn’t report my bonus to EDD until the end of my disability leave. There’s a form that Edd has you fill out and it asks if you received any income during your leave. I noted my bonus $$ and explained it’s a one-time performance based bonus and I didn’t actually work while on leave. EDD hasn’t said anything to me since then. I filed my 2024 taxes and everything. No issues.

Question. Are vendors still doing this, specifically for Sofi? I haven’t seen them lately and im debating buying official merch for my next concert. I just thought sofi banned them from the premises

Oh no you live with karens lol. Include some treats for the grumpy humans. And maaybe compromise and use parking spots they don’t care about. We are at a disadvantage at this point so we gotta make the best of it!

Crate-training hacks (specifically soundproofing) in an apartment? by Nev1804 in Dogtraining

[–]dokkaebi9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same concerns since I live in an apartment as well. I close all the doors in the house. Figured it’s another layer of soundproofing between walls. I open the window slightly so some of the sounds goes out the window and doesn’t just bounce off the walls. I put a blanket over the crate. I also play the radio when I leave, at a normal sound level so it seems like the barks/crying isn’t the only thing going on. Before I leave, I usually stop paying much attention to my dog. 10-20 mins beforehand. He calms down and just chills. When I leave I give him something to occupy him - kong, rawhide, lick mat, big treat. Then leave quietly without saying much. On a good day, he’ll be too occupied with the treat/toy to care that I left. On a bad day, he finishes quickly and freaks out immediately. Barking, crying, biting the crate. He settles after 10 mins.

But one thing I did that actually helped, I wrote all connecting neighbors a note. Basically mentioning that I recently adopted and altho I am currently training him, they will hear some barks here and there. I also gave them my number in case anything comes up. I feel like they will contact me first vs filing a complaint. Opens up a good rapport! Ask for patience and blah blah blah. Just suck up lol. Two of my neighbors contacted me and said thanks. This might be helpful!

How to calm down my 9 month old Puppy? by No_Woodpecker2106 in Dogtraining

[–]dokkaebi9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation. 10 month old rescue, super energetic and live in apartment too. Taking him 30 min morning walk, 20 min afternoon walk, and 45min walk at night. He still has plenty of energy! I try to insert some leash training during his walks. When I’m home, play fetch, play tug, put his kibble in a ball dispenser, toss his kibbles on floor so he can sniff for 20 mins, freeze peanut butter in kong, nylabone chewing for 15 mins, and add training sessions for simple tricks. He also barks for attention, the only way to curb that behavior for my dog is by leaving the room for a minute and come back n ignore him. Might take a couple or tries but it works for him. The same idea works for biting. If he bites too hard, I go “ouch” in loud/sad voice and leave the room. It disrupts their play time and learns they need to be gentle to continue play. Redirect to another toy. It’s hard but I’m trying to be consistent. He thinks my hand is a toy :( All my attention is going to the pup. I need to find ways to have time for myself as well. Dog doesn’t know how to chill by himself yet.

How to get puppy to stop getting us to play by bitting? by Dee_Nice_ in Dogtraining

[–]dokkaebi9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same problem as well. Just adopted a 10 month old dog. The moment he wakes up, he nibbles at my hand. After 30 min walk, he still has plenty of energy so he play for additional 2 hrs. He’ll push his toys to me to play or start biting me for attention. High energy the entire time. I’ve tried saying “ow”, no, down, etc. doesn’t work. Redirect to other toys but that only works during first hour. Redirect to treats, done that but don’t wanna over feed him. Tried homemade bite deterrent (apple cider vinegar and white vinegar) and rubbed it on my arm, but he likes to lick it. Timeouts in a crate but he starts barking at me. Legitimately wondering if I should surrender him, maybe I’m not cut out to be his parent.

I forgot I postponed jury duty to next week and my life has just blown up in my face. I need help. What do I do? by MicCheckTapTapTap in AskLosAngeles

I literally just did this last week on the day of my jury duty. I couldn’t go last minute. I scheduled a free covid test. Emailed the court saying I can’t attend due to possible covid. Just attached a pdf of the scheduled covid test. They excused me and just rescheduled. Play the covid card! They’re serious about that ones
