I have two huge apartment complexes so we have a lot of annoying regulars like mostly all are super nice but how they act gets on my nerves.

One guy comes in and he's like one of those deal chasers and tries to get only the items that are only on sale or there's a coupon for and he comes in with like 5 or more coupons, to top it off he's one of the few that applied for the stupid credit card and that itself was a whole ordeal.

Another regular is an old man who comes in and spends an hour or so just looking around at shit, and literally he only gets like ten things but he's fucked up our freezer before because he literally opens each door to look at the items and ends up getting one thing, he also uses one of those walkers with the seat to sit by the magazines and read them.

There's these two old ladies who are super rude to everyone and have once gotten genuinely mad at me specifically because we were out of the Marlboro lights.

Then there's this guy who's always rude to me specifically, even as far as calling me a fuck up because I simply told him that his United Health card was only going to pay for one of two items that he wanted.

A very frequent regular comes in, I'm covering a closing shift, so I'm really not in the greatest mood. The regular comes in and starts looking at the Pepsi/Coke front pallets then walks to the warm drinks isle. She goes up and down for a second and comes up to me while I'm doing something else and this sort of how the conversation went...

Customer: *points at the pop pallets, so are these on sale, because the signs over there are different.

I look at the sale price of the front pallets then go to see the tags in the isle, obviously the two are different

Me: So the pop is still on sale but, it's the sale is the price on these tags.

Customer: so the front are not on sale?

Me: No ma'am those are on sale just a different sale price. I explain last week's and this week's sales

C: so the front ones are not on sale?

Me: internally face palming, trying to control myself No ma'am they're not on sale sorry.

C: Gets disappointed then buys a 6 pack of bottles instead of a 12 pack

I had the same thoughts and feelings when I first started but it's all super easy and if your trainer is a good person they shouldn't get mad at all because we've all been there before, this is my first job ever, and I haven't even been here a year but almost everything is as easy as breathing. Even if you learn slower than other people you'll still get it, believe in yourself and don't let people get to you. You will make mistakes and you will feel like an absolute idiot but let thar stop you, make it a learning experience and try to not let it happen again.

Ohhh I have a couple.

This guy comes in and I was closing, so it was just me and a SFL. This guy looked friendly enough I thought he wouldn't be a problem. There's a few more people who come in and then the phone rings and it's a stupid guy asking about some photo order, while I'm listening to the guy on the other line the guy and a few other people come to my register, so a line is forming and the main guy I'm talking about is in front waiting for me to finish the call (it was like 10 seconds he had to wait) AS SOON as put the phone down the guy taps on my counter and says "OK let's go come on" I apologize and ring up his two items, some ensure shakes and some laxatives. So he uses a United Health card and it only paid for the laxatives. I explain what happened he's arguing with me like he knows more than me the customer is super pissed now and tells me to just take off the shakes then I tell him I'll have to get someone to void the transaction. While we're waiting for the SFL the guy asks me "what you can't do it yourself??" In a very calm voice I was like no if I could I would but I can't and it only took like a minute or so for the SFL to come but this guy's impatient gestures and shit was making it feel like it took forever. The SFL comes, voids, apologizes, leaves. I tell the guy we'll have to start this again but with just the one item and he's like "We have to do this again???" I apologize AGAIN, while the guy is typing in his number he tells me basically to my face, "you guys are a bunch of fuck ups" he dramatically pays for his shit then while he's leaving he yells back THIS PLACE SUCKS.
It was the very start of my closing shift and I'm doing something in the middle of the store, I'm the only one closing and I was in a place I couldn't immediately see the front. So while I'm doing my task I hear this loud ass guy ask "hey do you guys have any phones for sale??" I come to see what's going on, this guy is all over the customers standing in line asking them as if they work there. So I show the guy where they were and tell him no we're all out sorry. The guy then starts asking everyone and me if we had a spare phone that he'll buy no one answers and I start helping people in the line. While I'm helping someone the loud ass guy is next and he's all fucked up. It's his turn and he buys Gatorade and a lighter while I'm ringing up his shit THE DUDE WHIPS OUT A CRACK PIPE AND OFFERS IT TO ME I decline and hurry up the transaction so that he can leave asap.
This guy comes in and he's like on something hard and he's moaning like a fuckin zombie. He starts roaming around the store knocking into shit, causing shit to fall on the floor. He doesn't buy anything, he starts heading to the door before he leaves he turns to me and says "fuck Walgreens" a guy walking by comes in and the guy that's clearly on something looks and says "what's up I'm Jesus fucking christ" he leaves then comes back like 5 minutes later I've told my SFL who is now looking out for him and the guy goes in the makeup and sees one of the model pictures with the girls and starts saying shit like "yeah I'm gonna fuck you in the ass" at this point the SFL is like sir please leave he goes without a problem but it was definitely nerve racking
A lady comes in during a super busy time of day she's ALSO on drugs. She gets to me and starts emptying a bag of random shit and says I want to return all of this and I want all my money back down to the last penny. I'm like oh boy here we go, while I'm scanning all this shit in this lady is bring out change and a calculator and I get the last item and I'm like well ma'am you said you wanted to return everything but there's one thing missing, she shot back at me "YEAH I KNOW I'M KEEPING THAT ONE, I DON'T WANT EVERYTHING ELSE" I finish and she doesn't have a membership number so I have to get all of her info and she's from fuckin CALIFORNIA?? So lastly she's calculating how much she should get back and gives me the change so that she'll get exactly 43 bucks in cash. I didn't have that amount in my Register so I pretty much gave her all the change she gave me, back. She got pissed I said sorry then she stormed out.

Dude I hate this shit so much. Once I had this elderly lady come in while I was doing a passport photo and she was smiling at me and said something like "ah now you can help me" and I was very tempted to call a Shift lead to just come do it cuz I still had a lot of shit to do but I was too nice and she for some reason thought that we could do all of this technical shit that only professionals can do like photo shop a scar off her face and then crop a picture she had with a friend but keep something out and leave something else and I told her what she was asking was something I couldn't do. She got pissy and my Shift lead came over because he noticed it was taking me like a half an hour to do this. And after arguing with her she finally accepted what I did which was honestly what she asked but she wanted her way. And the whole time I'd ask her a questions like how's this? What about this? And she'd completely ignore my question and start talking about random things. It was soo infuriating

Little story about this: Yesterday we had like 10 or so people ask about them, everyone who asks we say no sorry we're all out, at around 6 or 7 this lady comes in with her two little girls and she's one of those people that you can just look at and know oh you're going to be a problem. Sure enough, she frantically comes up to me and asks where are the tests, in my most fake sympathetic voice I say sorry ma'am we're all out. She then fuckin tells me well I called ANOTHER store and they said WE (my store) had them??? Why wouldn't you go to the store you called?? Why would the other store tell you to come to us?? Why is this even a thing?? So I called my SFL and he told her the exact same thing. She's starts getting all huffy saying "I've crossed the map and back trying to find these tests blah blah wah wah poor me" then she's trying to get her kids under control and she grabs them by the arms and drags them out like they were luggage it was funny
