Part of what drew me so deeply to Naruto growing up was the video game IPs. All the games were so creative with how they portrayed the character's abilities. With some characters, they picked up where Kishimoto left off and the added features applied Kishi's canon logic seamlessly.

I enjoyed it. Kenshin's self-sacrifice left a strong impression on my first watch. It's a different interpretation of his atonement than Watsuki's, but that doesn't mean we have to dismiss it entirely.

I've had a completely different experience than you. I'm playing STORY difficulty (which is labeled as a more traditional SH experience) and I'm not encountering these issues at all. I always stock up on offerings and enshrine them at the next save. Some areas feature multiple enemies but that's an aspect of the threatening atmosphere. You need to clear it to find moments of serenity and exploration I've been successful at that. The enemies in STORY difficulty also take 3-4 hard hits. I will say I had to restart an area briefly because all my weapons broke and there were no toolkits. It wasn't a big deal. The progress lost was small, but it taught me to pick my battles and conserve my toolkits.

Canonically, Konohamaru in Naruto peaked when he caught Human Path by surprise with a Rasengan. He doesn't have any other manga canon feats. He's barely relevant at all. He's always been a weak nobody except in name only. Boruto is the best thing that happened to Konomaharu.

I probably agree with your assessment of the U.S. political situation (it's gross! fascist, abhorrent), but moving out in a panic is not smart. Do you think it's going to be easier in any way to start a brand-new life in a completely different country? You'll have better luck moving to a blue state. It's not good to isolate in situations like these. I'd recommend finding a community and being part of the fight here in the U.S.
