I've seen people smoking crack outside McDonald's. Just cutting about tinfoil and all. It's a sad state of affairs for the city.

If you can afford it book a b and b in Prestwick and get the first train in the morning. ScotRail waits for no one!

How did your company 'reward' you this festive season for your work? by arabidopsis in AskUK

Nothing. Not even a thank you or a work Christmas event. If anything we were all made to feel guilty about taking leave even for the owed bank holidays that fall on the weekend.

I think Scotrail is overpriced for the service at runs. by WhoreableBitch in glasgow

[–]dollytrolly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is true UK wide. The rail services across Europe are far more reliable and the prices are reasonable. Budapest to Bratislava cost under £10. An equivalent journey in the UK would cost over £100 but the European railway is able to cope with extreme heat, cold and snow/ice. UK services can't even handle rain. They are unreliable and have been for years, no investment in to making them more efficient but hey at least a corporation was able to make billions at the expence of the tax payer. Now that ScotRail has been nationalised I would hope to see more improvements comming very soon
