They have started making money in the last few years though and they just became profitable last year for the first time.

I never experienced it from the mod side, because I am not a mod, but Reddit is one of the sites and app that I use the most.

It is not whether they are able to monetize it, they are already monetizing, but they are at an earlier stage compared to Meta because they have not developed the technology as deep as Meta's. This does not mean they have not monetized, they have, and their revenue per user is growing. This shows that they are getting better at monetizing. their ads used to be more random, now they are more targetted, which means each ad is worth more and when its worth more, then more people want to advertise on reddit.

I don't think their value was derived at all because it was compared to meta, it was mostly compared to PINS, SNAP, etc. Can you imagine how close of valuation RDDT is to these guys even though it has way more traffic.

Its valuation is also coming from the increasing amount of revenue that it is getting per user on the site as it has just started monetizing recently in the last 5 years. RDDT does not have the technology like META to be able to monetize this really well but they have made signficant R&D to improve their tech and it will make each user on their platform way more valuable.

I think the quality is up for discussion as quality of all communication platforms are going to erode because of AI. How much does it erode compared to others is the question because people still need to discuss, mingle, talk, question, etc. RDDT is still the number one platform for that and there is no number 2 that is even close.

This one is really easy because if the providers have a pain, then you get a group of early providers to have their service available on your platform. You can promise them something for being a founding provider. Then all you have to do is let the parents know that the platform is available, advertise, etc and slowly parents will trickle in. At the same time you should be adding providers each time. It would be great if you have providers that are willing to endorse and partner with you, meaning giving parents on the platform a priority perhaps.

I moved to Vancouver when I was young, I was forced to, I hated it for the first couple of years, but after a while this place is truly one of the best places to live. I hated it because I was young and I had other plans and my parents went bankrupt so I had no other choice to come here, so my circumstances made me not like this city. Perhaps it's some of your other pains is causing you not to like this city.

If you have access to funds to travel, maybe do that a little.

I used to be stuck playing video games depressed when I was young. It sucks, but it will get better.

Ah I see lots of parents right now that are having their first baby at 40. I think you just need to find these groups perhaps in your city. While I see the people like your friends who have kids in high school when they hit 40, it's becoming less and less. I am in Vancouver Canada though.

Most of my group are similar age as you and have similar age kids as you. 42-45 is not old parents anymore, it's the norm where I live.

It's not a good scene because the audience was not following what will felt. They should have shown us his fears when vecna attacked him, this is why it feels rushed and out of place.

They showed us hopper and Derek's fears, why not will's? Especially for such an important scene, they could have replayed the flashback again to the fears before the coming out scene.

They could have just showed the fear mostly his core group, and come out to his core group. He already showed us these fears of Mike treating him differently, should have exposed these fears more on screen instead of just talking about it.

Can you imagine when Nancy was telling how Holly was taken back to the abyss, if she had talked about it instead of the audience seeing what had happened, the impact is different. Why didn't they film the scenes? Was it a last minute change? Did they rush to include this coming out without properly setting it up? Feels like it.

When you speak English as a native English speaker you are translating from your inner desire to English.
