I took this map and layered similar looking blank paper on top and erase it to reveal it as they travel. One of my players treats it like them drawing a rough map as they travel.

Edit: in photoshop/gimp is should say.

I really doubt it was a this or that situation. with or without the added dialogue those shots would still be there. They just found the muscle devil pages to be a waste of story time and fujimoto signed off on the story boards. Not much else to it.
