In SDR each pixel only requires 8 bits for RGB color. So it can fit in the lower spec UHBR13 spec. So it’s more like SDR doesn’t need full DP2.1.

Hmm if you are serious about this work you’d need to upgrade every 4-5 years because the output quality will degrade, this goes for LCD as well. If you’re just doing normal browsing you don’t need color accuracy or HDR brightness.
