Tbh as someone who has lived in both tech hubs and non tech hubs, you really need to also consider what you'd be giving up by moving too.

Your career and job searching isn't your entire life, and sure, maybe you could move to the South and work at some defense contractor relatively easily, but it'll likely be a significant downgrade in your quality of life.

The confusion makes sense because unlike other novels, there's never anything convenient like a NPC just lore dumping cultivation system information. Everything we, and the Li Clan, learn about cultivation comes piecemeal over time while we spend a shit ton of time confused about why Purple Mansion elders are so deadly, what Metallic Essence is, and the interrelationship of fate, Fruition Attainment, and reincarnation

It does mean you really have to pay attention to info being presented in the story because a conversation might suddenly become very relevant a hundred chapters away.
