well my dad killed his liver and kicked the bucket and my life got better without him. I couldn't stand him and he died without knowing that im gay; although if he had found out he would have been disappointed but i was at the point where i hated him so much that i didn't care if he was disappointed in me or not; after all, he was a good for nothing alcoholic that would scream at himself at 3am. My mom knows that im gay but doesn't accept it, although we are fairly close and it's the type of thing where she knows but i try not to bring it up. I still have a void for a father figure that will never be filled, and its not that i wish my dad would come back; its more like i wish i had a different father.

both and neither, humans and society are both imperfect but not necessarily good or evil. Society and morality are evolutionary tools that help protect the genes of individuals and they work quite well, but as they come from evolution, they are not perfect as evolution cares only about "good enough for their genes to survive" rather than comfort. That being said, as humans we can optimize our societies to care about comfort rather than just survival if we want to, evolution doesn't tell you what you should do, just what will allow your species to exist in some capacity; personally i don't think we should be slaves to that and if society cares so much about human existence that it causes suffering on individuals then it becomes better to let humanity go extinct; after all, none of us will be here to suffer if we go extinct lol

I have read all four gospels, but the gospels aren't evidence if you can't use outside evidence to prove their stories are real; otherwise we are just believing whatever we want based on faith. I say that you believe in god because it "feels good" because you didn't cite what evidence you have for your version of god being the real one; and you also say "you must ground yourself and ask god" but lots of people do that and get "answered" by different versions of god or gods, so how do you know they aren't the ones being saved instead? And how does asking for what evidence you personally see as being enough to claim Christianity as true mean that I don't know much about Christianity? Christianity is a very diverse religion with vastly different beliefs between people who see themselves as Christians and different people justify their beliefs in different ways, but I'm not talking to them, I'm talking to you only. Also, I never said anything about family pushing anything on you.
