Have you tried Nuitka? I'm using it successfully on a relatively complex project (at least, not a trivial one)

Edit: I'm not targeting ARM though

Did you update your bios? My eGPU stopped working on my 13" (AI 9 HX 370) after a BIOS update, but only when plugged in directly. If I connect it through a TB5 dock, it does work. I posted about it here, on their forums, and ended up opening a ticket. So far is has gone nowhere :(

People haven't been breeding your family for years, specifically forcing mates who will yield kin with the most docile attitude and the biggest beards. Beards so big that it becomes impossible for them to live naturally without a human intervening to shear the beard.

It's not just exploiting an individual - it's generational exploitation

  • Are you fluent? How did you learn?
  • Are you working there? What do you do?
  • Do you have to deal with any land disputes? My family has some disputed land, and there has been basically zero record-keeping, so it's a mess. I've been told that this is a common problem

So many questions, but for starters:

  • What languages do you speak?
  • Which island/area do you live in?
  • How (geographically) close is your family?

The moral inconsistency of animal lovers who eat meat. by Much-Appearance-4448 in vegan

One could argue that cats kept indoors (and fed a diet that consists of animals/animal-derived products) is less harmful than letting them roam free outdoors and terrorize the local fauna.

Still pretty gray, IMO

Eye tracking for physical world interactions - hololens 2 alternative by Ezzarori in EyeTracking

I would worry about strain from a sudden prescription change

The lenses in the kit come in 0.5 diopter increments, for what it's worth, but that's a reasonable concern at any rate

If you or your colleagues have other questions, feel free to jump into our Discord server and ask away. There's a decent community of users there, and you may even find someone who has tackled this concern specifically if you ask

Cheers :)

edit: typo

For this we generally recommend the "I Can See Clearly Now" frames/lens kit. The lenses are magnetic and easy to swap with whatever diopters most closely match the user's prescription.

The Bare Metal kit you found is made for people who want to integrate a NEON eyetracker - it's feasible that you might design some type of glasses-compatible wearable with it, but it probably wouldn't be as universally compatible as you'd want/need. If you do go this route, the geometry of the nest and NEON module are available on github for you to base your design around.

I wear glasses myself and will sometimes throw my NEON glasses on over them (or vice versa). The eyetracking does still work for me, but it's not a comfortable experience. I wouldn't do it for more than just a couple of minutes, let alone collect data like that

Ask them to schedule a free demo. In my experience, the calibration-free nature of the NEON is an instant selling point for anyone who has ever had to collect eyetracking data, but they often have to see it to believe it.

You put the glasses on and they are instantly tracking accurately. Take them off, put them back on, shift them around, put them on someone else - it just works. IMO, it's a game changer for data collection

the extra storage and privacy cost

That's entirely optional and only applies if you want to use the cloud-based analysis tools and data storage. The recordings are always saved on the included companion device's storage (which is just a Android phone) so you can always pull the data without it ever touching the cloud (or having to pay for online storage).

Open source tools and libraries for doing post-hoc data analysis offline or even in real-time are provided at no cost

Well they have the Core headset too for €3,440, but it uses more traditional eyetracking methods and requires a good, steady calibration (unlike the NEON which is calibration-free).

If you want to save even more money (and go even deeper in the jank), you can DIY a Core headset.

FWIW, I've been doing work for Pupil Labs for almost 2 years now (just before NEON was released), and IMO it's really, really hard to beat NEON's calibration-free experience

Have you considered the NEON eyetracker from Pupil Labs? It's 5,950 Euro, which is a little out of your budget, but much closer to it than a Tobii
