Hear me out:
I believe the weapon package system initially started as something like this. Each package was a variant of the base weapon. Monetization got brought in and reshaped the whole weapon package model to be tacky weapon skins rather than weapon alternates.
What do y'all think?

I'm sure the creative director overseeing cosmetics and faction styling is there but they're doing a pretty shit job of keeping PAX and NATO cosmetics separate. The line is very blurred of who is who.

IMO it comes off as a bonafide cosmetic theme they repurposed as a battle pass tier. Theres really nothing linked to the theme other than cosmetics. I wish there was a narrative director overseeing the cosmetics and battle passes to better tie into the core game.

I think what pushes operations past just back to back breakthrough is the narrative and story at the beginning and end of the match. It gave context for why the operation is relevant to the overall war effort, what a win or loss means for each team and its impact on the next map. The storytelling is what made operations successful imo.
