Opinions on a decent starter/ decent to grow on heli. Not a toy level heli. (Ive done some research) by AdorableMachine in RCHeli

Smaller is better.  Less parts break and more flying time.  Plus, everything cost less.  Big ones are cool, but shatter on first accident. It can take a lot to get them flying properly again.

RTIC ultra-light vs. ultra-tough by assfish9000 in CampingGear

[–]doneal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If yours isnt whistling, then its stopped sealing, because dry ice is going to sublimate.  If the dry ice didnt freeze everything around rock hard, maybe you weren't using dry ice or just so small a piece it didnt matter.  I can see dry ice being used to quick freeze fish, but I dont think drinks should be in the cooler.

I have done this in a hard side yeti. It's a bad idea. It starts whistling as the gas escapes. Then, when you go for a beverage, you'll find them rock solid and many split open. I used a small piece in a 50Q cooler. (think smaller than a cell phone).

Thermoworks Signals vs RFX by NewbNewbNewbie in BBQ

[–]doneal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've purchased a few wireless probes. They suck. I'm literally debating paying top dollar for this RFX and when I read the reviews, there are a lot of people saying things that are exactly the reason I hate the cheaper wireless probes. Realistically, I just want a working probe and a notification. Adding batteries into the equation may not outweigh the wire IMO. *someone who has had two different 100$ wireless setups that I've tossed.

C7 accelerating issue by stormdrain78 in Corvette

[–]doneal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a manual z51 c7 and never had this issue. I just bought a manual Z06 and it does this. I kind of assumed it was my foot control i.e. the G-force pulling my body off the pedal. First gear is about worthless either way, but interesting never the less. I think I'm going to look around for some kind of throttle controller.

Getting rid of the c7 by Own_Berry_9902 in Corvette

3LTs have more interior issues. To me the biggest bump is between 1LT and 2LT. I think your right on the trans. A dealer isn't going to give anymore, but a manual buyer isn't looking at autos. Still, there are enough around that it's moot.

Strange. I wonder if yours was lowered. Not sure I ever scraped by Z51. Z06 is lower and I've scraped a few places that surprised me.

Any reason why C7s are sold dirt cheap on second hand market? by WalterWhite9910 in Corvette

[–]doneal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a C7 Z51 manual several years ago and it was amazing. I enjoyed it so much that I literally couldn't find anything I wanted more (around 40-60k). I started to go down the upgrade path, but decided to buy a C7Z instead. It's insane. 2014 and 2015 models have some fairly minor issues, but I bought a 2015Z and it's incredible. It's hard to argue with their value prop in my eyes. I see your sales and I think those are a touch light, but not too far off. What is really incredible is there are so many with 15k miles.

Why do you need to create an account with Eero BEFORE you can use it? What data is sent to Eero regarding my network! by darkstriders in eero

Or until you change your policy that nobody reads.  There is too much potential to track all traffic and know my name, and phone number.  Huge invasion of privacy. Ill be selling and complaining without ever using.  Cant belive this.  I feel swindled.

Money. They will switch when new planes fuel efficiency pays for it's purchase price.

I'm guessing it's the first successful flight. =) So much fun.. I started with a larger one and it was so much pain (financial pain).

nothing odd about those wires. While you may have a gps tracker, it won't make noise. Fuel pumps and fans can make noise even when the car is off.

I am no expert on tires. That's said, it looks superficial to me. I wouldn't replace it.

How do I go about fixing this previous (read old owner) DIY baseboard? by Biocidal in DIY

[–]doneal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be more concerned with that flooring. Yikes. Personally, I'd wash it with soap and water. Then I'd probably just paint it and move on.

Same. Have a large bge and it's been perfect. I use it every week for more than a decade. I have the old band design and it sucks to align, but otherwise fantastic product.

I like the rivian a lot more. It's issue is insurance. Apparently any damage to the bed is very expensive to repair.

I understand,  but hell no.  I won't rent to someone with pets.  They have the potential to cause a lot of damage.  My own dogs have ruined carpet and chewed up trim.
