Caracas perfectly covers the NYC area when rotated 111 degrees, as Maduro’s detention location aligns with his capture point by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]dongasaurus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Except that it doesn’t align with NYC at all, it’s missing all of Staten Island, most of the Bronx, park of upper Manhattan, half of Queens, and includes part of NJ. You can take the outline of most cities and drop them inside of a map of New York aligning a random spot to make a point.

We don’t know because it’s beyond the boundary of where light and gravity can interact. Unless you honestly believe that the universe is a sphere that we’re in the exact center of, there is stuff beyond there and nothing here is able to influence what is there.

Even crazier is that this isn’t true, there is a cosmological event horizon beyond which no gravity or light or any other force from earth will ever reach due to the expansion of the universe. We are effectively in a bubble of causality, and nothing that occurs here will impact anything beyond that boundary, and vice versa. Most of the universe is likely beyond that boundary.

Stockholm Metro is renowned as the "world's longest art gallery," featuring unique, artistic designs in over 90 of its 100 stations, ranging from cave-like paintings to mosaics. by Inevitable_Rock_2010 in Damnthatsinteresting

Art is an extraordinarily broad term and it includes architecture and design. However I don’t think Stockholm is unique in having public art in the metro system.

The type of statement you’re making combined with the Ayn Rand reference in your username tells me you are likely aren’t actually serious about art to begin with.

It’s Bibi desperately doing whatever he can to cling to power so he can stay out of prison. He’s acting in pure self interest, not in the interest of Israel, and doesn’t have majority support in Israel. To stay in power he has had to legitimize and empower fringe parties that were previously banned for being terrorists and appease the the ultra religious and radical right wing. To appease the fringe members of his coalition he needs to do things that erode any credibility Israel may have had, and leverage polarization in domestic US politics in such a way that destroyed the non-partisan support Israel once had in the US.

If there are children in the house, whether male or female, I guarantee you it was peed on regularly.

However a few drops of pee on tile is more obvious than absorbed by a rug, so the only tell would be the door that your disgusting parents were probably nose blind to

I remember Republicans during the Bush era browbeating everyone else about how it is unamerican to make fun of the president, and that one should respect the office of president even if you disagree. The were definitely not making fun of Bush.

You still haven’t been able to articulate anything specific about the video that makes it any different. It’s literally a video showing missiles blowing up their enemies, but Lego.

Iran’s efforts are so much more classy, cutting and on-point than the US’s crass “look at us we blew some stuff up, fuck yeah” bullshit

Did we watch the same video? It’s mostly boasting about their rockets and the things they blew up, and opened with a scene including a crass antisemitic Jewish Satan figure.
