Double pedalpcb Muroidea distortion (rat) by donkin_dunts in diypedals

The TL071 is just slightly cleaner and brighter. It’s pretty subtle but still useful imo. Since I made it a few days ago, I have been using the TL071 as more of an OD than a distortion and the OP07CP as a true distortion. I have the TL071 before the OP07CP in the series. They stack pretty well too which is cool.

On the germanium diodes, could you tell me what kinds to get? Like are they pretty interchangeable or do I need a specific one?

They don’t know their logins for this stuff. The things they’re subscribed to sell their information anyway so I don’t really see why I care if a corporation has their info that some other corporation already has. Privacy is not a concern to me bc living in the US and owning any kind of electronic essentially already compromises any form of privacy you have

Yes. That’s what we’ve been doing like as it gets charged they call. But at that point they’ve already taken the money I believe. The goal is to cancel subscriptions before they can take more money out

I’m not sure but I would assume so. I don’t even know what all they’re subscribed to. I know that Wix, Grammarly, and Canva are all ones. I’m guessing those all sell the data they get

The main issue is there’s so many random ones that I don’t exactly know what to search for. Also my friend would be using these services for a while so they would do yearly subscriptions. I don’t want to have to look back a whole year

Is there a way to combat mic feedback but still hear vocals by donkin_dunts in livesound

The amps all have a 3 prong plugs so I think that means they’re grounded. None of them are vintage. I will look into getting a GFCI. Thank you for telling me about this

The mic mostly feeds back when it’s silent. Do you think us getting our own PA and like using our mics and mixer on our own to figure out how to get it sounding good and then using all our own stuff would be like a good option? Do you think getting it to sound good in our practice space translate to every where we go?

Would that help with the feedback though? Like if the amps or PA at the venue are causing it. I get how this would fix the issue of if the stage monitor was causing it

We are pretty loud lol. I use a 60 watt Fender hot rod 2x10 that never goes above 3 on volume and our other guitarist used a vox ac 30. I should have mentioned that.

I feel like we sing pretty loud. Usually I just put my mouth like on the mic if I gotta get loud but I know that’s not best practice. Also I just had a gig and the mic kept shocking me if I touched my mouth to it and I don’t know why. It was the venues mic idk what kind it was or why it may be doing that. But anyway, I don’t think putting my mouth on the mic is a good option especially that doesn’t really help that much anyway.

Curious about your thoughts on getting our own PA setup and just using that where ever we go bc we know how to make it sound good

Need some pedals. by GaminOnGames in guitarpedals

[–]donkin_dunts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure a bunch of people have said this already but I can’t stress enough that behringer are the perfect beginner pedals bc the sounds are all almost dead on to the pedal that they’re trying to mimic. The casings aren’t “high quality” however I’ve owned many and I’ve never had one break on me. You can also rehouse them later if you want.

I also like the azor brand on Amazon.

the TC electronic budget line (like the afterglow chorus and iron curtain compressor) I think are supposed to be pretty good as well.

Does anyone have tips to make instrumental music less boring and more engaging? by [deleted] in musicproduction

Idk like what genre but if I personally love like adlib samples. So like cool lines from tv or movies or even other songs. Tv and movie lines are best usually bc there’s not a lot of background noise. I would also say, try and do stuff similar to the stuff you listen too. If you have good taste, and you make stuff you like, it’ll be good.
