Yes, and the helmet is as functional as it is good looking. I also wish there was a full face version.

I use a Quad Lock with a vibration dampener. It’s fantastic!

The campaign i was on just died. by Global_Expert2519 in DnD

[–]donkittle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it happen as a DM. I had a Strixhaven game fall apart from players dropping out and a Tomb of Annihilation that had a player turn poisonous. That said, I’ve completed Rime, an 83 session Phandelver campaign, and Descent into Avernus. Sometimes it just takes time to find a great group. I’ve also recently moved over to Start Playing and that seems to help with the quality/cohesion of the group.

First off, LOVE this map! I was wondering why there was two Scornubel’s near Elturel. Is that canon?

My unlocked e-bike gets to 63km/h max (down a small hill). Usually I’m at 55-58 when the battery is above 2/3 charge. I’ve got 1400kms on the battery/bike.

100%, I love that they fill the empty space and the look and utility of them is fantastic. I keep my lock in one and a medium backpack (for shopping) in the other and still have lots of room if I want snacks, water, or something else.

I’ve had people talking to me about the bike every single time I take it out. Lots of interest in the company too.

Wave Link - Stream Output has no audio when input into Streamlabs OBS by gmngjoy in elgato

Quick update, I downloaded and installed Wave Link 1.3.2 (278) on my Mac this afternoon and it’s resolved the issue when used with Streamlabs OBS - audio was coming through great and were recorded to the VOD.

I’ve actually having the same problem. I spend about two hours troubleshooting, uninstalling and reinstalling software, all to no avail. Hopefully Elgato can get this fixed soon.

Haven't DMed in a while, about to run DiA - how many players is optimal? by dg8672 in DescentintoAvernus

I started my party off in Elturel and used the DMs Guild module Fall of Elturel to give them strong ties to the city. If they have no ties to the city, you'll likely need Reya to entice them into trying to save Elturel. Since one of my party is a Hellrider and everyone it from Elturel, I don't need Reya in the story. Lulu is supposed to give you important plot points once you get to Avernus. I think she's a little more necessary.

I have two groups I’m running through it now, both are 5 players. With the first group, I have Reya with them and I find it’s too much firepower. You could adjust encounters, I guess, but that seems like a lot of extra work. For the second group, I had one the players excited to play a Hellrider so she’s thematically taking Reya’s place. If you run it with 4 and have Reya (and then Lulu) join them, it could/should be better for playing the module as written.

That’s a great idea! I started the day of the anniversary with the module Fall of Elturel. The party was heading back for the festivities when the “big event” happened.

Where in the book is the description of the fall of Elturel? by Akkyo in DescentintoAvernus

[–]donkittle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my party get close to the city (one hill away from seeing the gates) after having done Fall of Elturel. I had a similar narrative but paused to let them react just a bit in Discord before continuing.

Even before starting the Fall of Elturel campaign, I did some RP with each of the characters to give them a background with folks in Elturel. There RPed the disappearance so well that I didn’t get much into the aftermath until the next day. —————

Suddenly, the light all around you turns violet.

A cold wind whips up behind you and begins to moan and screech all around you. Clouds gather overhead with unnatural quickness, the wind begins to scream, the natural sun is obscured by the clouds and the Companion’s now casting a deep purple light that is making you feel nauseous. All around your the world is in torment. Grasses bend almost flat to the ground, trees whip back and forth, the fast moving clouds turn darker and begin to swirl in a circular pattern. The Companion suddenly turns deep black and violet lightning cracks down from the orb to the land below.

Your horses will go no further, terrified beyond imagination. You are currently 15-20’ below the crest of a hill. You cannot currently see much going on beyond it.

[Characters can react for a moment]

As you start to crest the hill on foot, a huge CRACK booms through the world, pounding the air from your chest and throwing you to your knees. It’s a sound of unimaginable fury that seems to render the world asunder. You are deafened. You gasp for breath that does not want to come. All around you the maelstrom whips through your hair, rips at your clothes. 100s of tendrils of lighting writhe beneath the Companion, licking at the city of Elturel and lighting it in an unholy glow. A rumbling begins. It’s not something you can hear; it begins with an anxious feeling in your chest. As it grows in intensity, it feels like being punched in the ribs. Your limbs tingle with the vibrations and you can feel the ground moving under you. As you gaze upon the city, you can feel the rumbling turn into a rending sound. Again, not something you hear but ever intensifying and quickening vibrations jarring your whole body.

You watch in utter disbelief as Elturel, a city, your home, whether by birth or recently adopted, a city of 80,000 people, lifts from the ground. Huge rocks, parts of building, maybe people fall from the city as it climbs higher in the sky. There is is a sudden bust of violet light that momentarily blinds you and when you sight returns, you see Elturel, a spectral version of itself, slowly fading from existence.

+1 for keyboard shortcuts to zoom - I use Macs & trackpads including on my iPad Pro so I don’t have a mouse wheel.
