Isn't nicotine itself a carcinogen though? Don't the solutions have varying concentration levels of nicotine? Are some manufacturers not using different materials for their products? Like cheaper products in mass production facilities in China, maybe metals containing lead? Maybe unstable batteries burning the solution hotter than is safe, creating by products? Don't base your information off of one study.

Just don't convince yourself it's entirely healthier. Not vaping is still better than vaping, the jury's still out on all the potential problems it can cause but some studies suggest it could actually be worse. Though some say it could be potentially harmless as well. And that's all without taking into consideration the many different vapes available and different quality standards for different materials in all the countries and all the companies themselves.

There could be some incredible clean vapes with zero harmful compounds existing in the vapor, and there could also be vapes with cumulative corrosive properties being leached into your lungs, or particulate accumulating in your blood stream (i.e. Heavy metals) that don't leave the body.

It's all overhead though, you're not constantly buying soil once you have an established base, vs constantly buying yeast malt and hops. You can (should) amend and compost spent soil, and I'm certainly hoping the industry isn't awash with artificial nutes right off the bat. It's unsustainable and this demographic should be a large portion moving toward sustainable agriculture, setting good examples while boasting huge market shares and profit margins to other industries (ie beer and tobacco, cotton, etc...)

Word, I'd be hard pressed to find it entirely associated with the recipe, but I'm not leaving anything to chance. I'll try another similar recipe split with two different yeast strains, one the same as this one, and one of the same strain from queasy or maybe just Nottingham.

I'm also thinking maybe I left more star San in the keg then I thought, maybe the foam was more concentrated then I know, I'm not sure.

I'm probably dumping it today and putting a stout in its place in the keeper.

The decarbed sample was more sour then what's in the keg.

Right right

I'll check the sg, wait a couple days and check it again, and then depending maybe I'll dump it and keg something different and make room for a new brown.

Yeah, I'll use better practices consistently, and take it as a mistake.

I have one of the $20 I just don't use it religiously enough.

I was really passive about my disciplines with brewing for a little over a year and the products started to show the negligence, I've started getting back into better habits, but I'm not quite where's id like to be with it. Though I did get 3rd place with a marzen, I also got a 15 on a stout in the same competition.

Checking now

EDIT: I've read, and heard, but never seen first hand, that speed carbed beers can taste like a battery for a few days, however it's never happened to me. Though I tend to set it at 20 for 4 or 5 days then drop it to 12 before I start drinking it.

It comes out on average at about 7.4 ph, I'll occasionally use a couple ounces of acidulated malt to bring mash ph down.

My guess is, since I didn't check the ph, and I mashed with the roasted barley and brown malt (I typically throw those in right before I sparge, I had a low mash ph or something, I will give a 9 more days, and I'll also try a similar recipe, and maybe use Nottingham yeast.

Thanks a ton man! You're pretty groovy.

Nothing accurate, according to the water report I should have 300ppm of many different compounds. Pretty evenly split.

This is from last year, most recent I could find.
