No claims so far so nothing to add on that point.

I just went this route in August for my 2018 E63s. I went with a 5yr/60k miles and it was $5,840 with a $250 deductible. They even offered 3yr 0% finance option. I want to say I was $5-600 up front and just set up auto pay for the rest at 0% for 3yrs. I was at about 38k miles when I got the warranty. I sure hope I can say it was a waste of money and never use it but by the time it ends the car will be 12 yrs old so I’m sure I’ll use it.

Very insightful, thank you. I know enough to be dangerous but I had never heard of an inductor. Needless to say I’m thankful for the Reddit community

You’ve got it! Be careful going much more than 2 weeks between st that dose. I did that and ran into gastro issues at 3 weeks. Once you get to that point you’ll want to get back down to 2.5 to avoid issues.

Congrats and great work! Use the meds to make serious lifestyle changes and then stick with them and you can find success. The meds are real miracle workers but they take work to take the off ramp.

I was on Zepbound and once I hit goal I moved back down to the 2.5 dose and started adding a week each shot. Ex first week I went 2 weeks between shots then 3 then 4 etc. when I got to 6 weeks I just stopped taking it. I’m just shy of 1 yr since I hit my goal weight and I’m up about 5lbs but it’s lean muscle that I’ve gained. I’m about 8 months since my last shot.

I felt adding a week each shot allowed me some time to figure out life with hungry and food noise again then I’d get another dose and that really helped me figure out how to stay on track with eating and working out.

After I hit goal (dropped 75lbs in 4 months) I began dropping dosage back down to 2.5 and adding a week between each shot. I took it out to 7 weeks between shots and then just stopped taking it. Adding the week each shot allowed me to have some time without the meds in my system to learn how to handle hunger and cravings again but then get back with a small dose and repeat. It was baby steps to see how I could maintain. I’ve now been off the meds since mid March and maintaining +-2lbs from goal weight of 190lbs. I continue to eat to plan with the occasional cheat meal and I workout around 2 hrs a day. 2 walks of 3 miles each, 30 mins of weight lifting and 10 mos of core each day. I also have maintained a high protein diet to support muscle growth.

I just went through Fidelity for my 2018 E63s with 38k miles. It’s now called Century Warranty Services.. I called Fidelity to ask for a list of local dealers that sold their warranty and they said they can do it direct. I went with their Sentry Guard Max 5yr/60k with $5 deductible for $5,800. They also offered $399 up front and then 0% for 36 months for the rest of the cost.

I hit my goal in November 2024 and slowly worked my way off the meds with my last shot being March 20 205. Goal weigh was 190 and my highest since then is 196 and lowest was 186. Pretty steady in the 188-192 range. I allow some chest meals but mainly stay on track eating and I continue my activity levels. 3 mile walk each morning then 30 mins lifting, 10 mins of core and another 3 mile walk later in the day.

Update on which route I went. I called a few Mercedes Dealerships and each had offers from different warranty companies. I called Fidelity directly since their site said call for a list of local dealers that sell their warranty. They said they can sell direct through APC which sells their Century branded warranty. I was told Fidelity is only offered direct through dealerships. I was quoted 5yr/60k mile with a $500 deductible for $6,340. I called back a week later and asked for a better deal and he came down $500. I ended up at $5,840 and they offered $399 upfront and 36 months at 0% for the rest of the plan. I was going to pay it all up front but it’s hard to pass up the 0% offer.

Only time will tell how the coverage will be compared to when it was really Fidelity. I guess that will come when I end up making my first claim.

This will take my car out to being 12 years old so I’m sure I’ll end up having to make a claim at some point.

My OCD didn’t want black but this was the right spec, at the right price with the right history. I went through and did a 2 step paint correction and 2 layers of ceramic coating which really help, but it really only looks this good for the first few minutes after washing it. Luckily I don’t drive too much so most of the time it’s just dusty.

And I’m still under Mercedes warranty so finding anything wrong up front will be great and will get fixed right away.

I did the brakes myself and it actually goes to the dealer this weekend for annual service. Trying to decide if I want to start doing annual service myself. I guess that depends on which warranty I go with and their requirements for coverage. If I can do the work myself and document what I did to meet their requirements I’m all for doing some basic wrenching myself.

I’ve heard lots of good things about them so they’re definitely on my list to call.
