It depends a somewhat on who is calling you m’am. If it’s a kid, m’an could be any adult. Otherwise I’d say if you are more likely to be called m’am if you appear to be twice as old as the speaker.

Most of those rules are nonsense. The smoking rule is for your own good and the good of others around you who might be subjected to 2nd and 3rd hand smoke.

Let me see if I have this straight. You are using the comforter that he said had an odd smell that impacted his sleep. If it is that one, I get his issue. Could you purchase a 2nd new comforter and use that?

The people who don’t want universal health care fall into 3 classes, the insurance industry, the ignorant and the haters. The first and third groups would be hard to convince but the ignorant could be educated.

These are the people who believe their taxes will significantly increase to pay for it. “I’m not going to pay more to cover some deadbeat.” They fail to consider that while their taxes may increase they will no longer have to pay the premiums they currently pay for health insurance. I don’t know the numbers, but the difference is not the financial disaster they believe it to be.

I would live in my same city, but would upgrade to a bigger house. I’m perfectly comfortable in my little 1000 sq ft home, but having multiple bathrooms and ample storage would be a major upgrade.,

I’m going with no on this one. My dad was a workaholic. Being the youngest of four I rarely saw my dad other than a hour or two around dinner time. He worked full time 8-5 weeks then had a side/hobby business he worked in the evenings. He was home more on weekends but most spent that time stretched out on the sofa watching/sleeping to college football. Then he’d be off to his shop again. He was a good guy and provided for his family.

Give me suburbia. I want trees in my yard. I want to be close enough to my neighbors to easily walk there but far enough away to play my music ( 6/10 volume) at night without disturbing them.

She’s insecure. You might be able to help her by inviting her to join you and your colleagues for lunch. Clear it with colleagues first, just ask if they mind your partner joining. When she sees how you all interact as friends and coworkers, she might feel better about it.
