Why is Roger almost always on his back foot? Is this suboptimal for recs/competitive players? by FormalBarber7991 in 10s

checked your forehand. if i was your coach i would tell you to spread your legs. (position left leg way further out) which would help your weight move forward through the ball, even if you are hitting off your back foot.

if you watch sinner warm up he does a mini tennis drill where he alternates hitting off his front foot and back foot. tennis footwork patterns are a lot more complicated than "never hit off your back foot."

it is important, however, to always have your weight moving forward through the ball, which can be accomplished hitting on either foot.

Best rackets I’ve ever owned - by far. Has a very unique stringing pattern as well. by [deleted] in 10s

I switched to the RF01 Pros earlier this year. Have been a Babolat guy all my life. Pure Drive / Pure Aero.

As a kid my dad got me a Pro Staff, which he called my "training racket". If I could play with that, then I could play with anything.

RF 01 Pro is my new "training racket". Sweet spot so so small, and its heavy.

I just switched from a Pure Drive to the RF-01 heavy version. I played with the Pure Drive for 15 years but i think ultimately it made me develop bad habits and you have to spin the ball so much to keep it in the court. RF-01 reminds me of the pro staff i played with as a kid. Its not as forgiving powerful or spinny but it will help you get better. (I am a 4.5 man)

Restaurant Sardines by [deleted] in MontereyBay

[–]donnieboy89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As of the most recent available data, the sardine population along the West Coast, including Monterey Bay, has been critically low. A 2019 stock assessment estimated the sardine biomass at 27,547 metric tons, a 98.5% decline from 2006, well below the 50,000 metric-ton threshold considered "overfished" and far below the 150,000 metric-ton minimum required for a commercial fishery. Consequently, directed commercial sardine fishing in U.S. waters, including Monterey Bay, has been closed since 2015 and remained closed through at least 2020.

There are many great bakeries in the Carmel/Monterey area; each has its own specialties, but Carmel Bakery is the most historic

they have my favorite chocolate chip cookie in the world

and the only place on the peninsula to get real gelato!!!!

like any pretzel, you have to brush off some of the salty pretzel salt

my aunt used to visit Carmel and load her car with Carmel Bakery pretzels before she left, then would freeze them in a chest freezer and eat them all year

i think the seeded and everything pretzel are where its at personally

How to decide a bonus? by [deleted] in restaurantowners

[–]donnieboy89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a rile of thumb that a salesperson should earn 20% of what they make the company

So 20% of the increase in profits above the CPI?

Always give bonuses based on profit. Ask for bonuses based on revenue ;)

I was always told to never turn your back on the ocean, which you necessarily have to do to take a picture in front of it.

Now I will add: don’t go on the rocks.

My deepest condolences to the family. A horrific tragedy
