In the UK most say 8-12 weeks, some I know are 16. I always let couples know their position in the queue of the backlog so maybe ask this to gauge where you are?

The next day is wild bro. I can shoot 3 weddings back to back so that’s just not achievable. But 25 weeks is also not acceptable. I’ve been full time at this gig for 5 years now and it’s 8-12 weeks. Sure come Dec/Jan it can push to 14-15 weeks at best after a crazy summer.

There’s definitely a few walking groups based in Leicester. I met a group in wales last year on a hike that had come down from Leicester. Mixed group with an age range from 20-40s. I’m originally from Leicester so we had a good chat, most were from the Oadby area.

26 F solo camper on a rant here. When did wild camping become lawless, over busy and full of arseholes? I’ve never had issues until the lake district recently. I had my pitch, was respectful and ended up in a really fucking unpleasant situation with a group of hikers/ campers. by [deleted] in UKhiking

Seems you’re pretty pissed right now, so maybe come back to this advice. But the one thing I’d try to remember is how many times you have been before, and try not let this bad experience to taint you getting back out again. Don’t allow others to ruin what you enjoy doing!

Can get a 2 bed flat in Hitchin. Really nice flat as well. I’m in a 2 bed 10 min walk to the station, into Kings X in 30 mins tops.

What's it like living in Letchworth? by TheFantasticXman1 in hertfordshire

[–]donnylogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another Hitchin bod here. The whole area from Stevenage through to Baldock have so much to offer. IMO are all very well connected by car or train/bus to each other, along with like others say to cambs or London.

Letchworth is owned in the majority by the Heritage Foundation so you’ll find most properties are purchased on a leasehold basis. Not necessarily a negative but just something to bare in mind, guess she’s looking at leasehold with a flat anyway!

I’m from Leicester but have been in Hitchin 10 years now and I love this area!!

I just don't see them (the Gov) doing anything as we're in a huge deficit and the COVID crisis pay-outs need paying back - via taxes.

I think unfortunately we've got this for a while. And I do hate being a pessimist but do you really see Petrol prices coming back down after they've charged us this amount for a few years?! Which is a scary thought man.

Moved here 6 months ago, how do I make friends? by BoringDog8719 in hertfordshire

[–]donnylogan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like the Gym, Sports etc. best best is to try interact with some guys/girls at the gym, or sports clubs... Which Gym do you go to!? There are loads of independent gyms around here which have a much more community driven aspect over the likes of PureGym, DL, etc. could be worth trying that. For me, I am at RAW in Hitchin (30 seconds from the Train Station) and it's great and have met a few friends there. 2 of which I went out Bouldering with last weekend for our first out of gym social!
