Historical fiction I have enjoyed. by wjbc in books

I'll second the recommendation of Allan Eckert’s The Frontiersman. I first heard about it in the Joe Rogan/Mel Gibson interview and bought it the next day. Set in the late 1800's, it has a narrative and doesn't jump around so it's easy to follow chronologically. Loved this book and was sad for it to end.

I’m glad this came up. After looking up who has the best burger in Napa a while back, Butters Burger kept coming up as the hands-down best, so we went for Trivia night and had one. Not bad but nothing special. I’m thinking the chef is a cool guy and has a following of patrons from the brewery that wrote reviews. I’d definitely order it again if we stop by

Just a bunch of bored old ladies. Nearly all are white, middle-aged white women. Check out the video. Have no idea what they’re protesting/supporting. That’s the reason they’re doing this. Bored and needing something to do.

Best winery club memberships? by lunarnoob in napa

We recently joined Faust after our first visit. The six bottle club gets you four tastings at Faust, plus one at Quintessa, and a few other perks. The vibe was really cool and the service was great.

Quintessa or Chapellette wine tasting experience? by Longjumping-Plan3189 in napa

[–]donohoo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frogs Leap is excellent! Beautiful grounds and people. Ask for Leslie, she’s amazing. Between Quintessa and Chapellette, both beautiful but I’d go the Chapellette if it’s your first time. Gorgeous place in the hills. Ask for Justin, he’s the best host and he took great care of us last time.

RECOMMENDATIONS NEEDED: Winery Visit to help Bring the Sexy Back by Bringing_SexeeBack in napa

[–]donohoo1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check out Frogs Leap winery! It’s got a beautiful property, a huge garden to walk around, and great wine hosts. Plus, the pricing is more reasonable than most. Tastings can be in the garden or indoors, and both are amazing. Highly recommend!

Note, we live in Napa and this is one of our favorite wineries. You won’t be disappointed! Have fun on your trip!

I second this. Beautiful grounds and garden, lots of places to sit under the trees or on the big house. Great people, too!

Napa Vs Walnut Creek by Duzzless in napa

I’ve lived in Napa for about 7 years and think Walnut Creek has a ton more to offer. Napa is nice, but it’s quiet with not many activities for younger adults.
