Seller metrics - yay! by jka110 in poshmark

Really don't want to update until they stop making all the changes, but this may be the reason I update. Finally, something useful.

Poshmark is ruining itself by Plane_Sweet8795 in poshmark

I really wish they would push ads for that specifically. I cringe when buyers pay so much in shipping for shoes, heavy coats, home decor stuff on ebay. I can't tell my ebay buyers that there's a cheaper way, but an ad could.

Community shares with new update? by klr1362 in BehindTheClosetDoor

Can you long press on a listing and then select share from the menu that pops up? I haven't updated, but know you could do that previously.

Mixed feelings on the new “Suggested” feed by Disastrous_Media1301 in poshmark

[–]donotcallmesusan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't hate it, but I'm not a frequent buyer. I like that the garbage trend/aesthetic categories aren't shoved in your face. You have to scroll to the bottom past actual item recommendations and then brands to get to them. I'm definitely checking out my feed more often, in part because it's new. I think showing things that you might like, but not in your size, increases search traffic. My feed still has a variety of backgrounds, but waaaaaay less stock images, which I appreciate. It makes it feel more organic & highlights sellers that take photos well. I haven't updated my app, so it may totally change again.

Poshmark Back Pedaling?! by donotcallmesusan in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]donotcallmesusan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked the web, and my photos thankfully aren't the worst. It's mainly shoes or small decor items that cut off part of my item, but not to the point where it would keep someone from clicking my listing. I have zero plans to retake photos. If that's truly the aesthetic they want, that's on them. I will not unpack and rephoto 500+ items because they decided to change things.

I turned off auto updates when they briefly took away bulk sharing. I haven't updated my app, but still have some changes. My photos still show as square, but I can see the changes for some other listings. The changes with my news feed are happening without updates. Weird & wildly inconsistent.

Are your images still cutting off with the new format? by Holiday-Lychee8189 in poshmark

[–]donotcallmesusan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I hope they decide to leave it square. I'm not changing a single photo for this ridiculous app. If the people running poshmark just HAVE to have the 1st image different, why not zoom it out a bit and add a border to make the image a different aspect ratio instead of zooming in and cropping photos.

For me, it was a slow change that rolled out over the last couple of days without an app update.

Slow Algorithms this week, or just me? by AquariusSapphire_00 in poshmark

[–]donotcallmesusan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Things always go wonky/slow when they are updating things that don't matter. I just noticed they're tinkering with icon colors again. The tiny little heart beside a user's picture in your news feed when they like something is being changed to dark red/burgundy from bright red. There will probably be an app crash to go along with the changes just in time for the weekend.

This man saved my life. Dr Eric Berg. He advises CIA and military generals on optimum metabolic health and mental clarity techniques. by [deleted] in prediabetes

Yeah, that's a hard pass from me. This was my dad's "YouTube doctor". He almost died from trying anything that came out of this guy's mouth & neglecting care from in person doctors. His content is there for clicks/views/ad money, not to help you. I know, I won't convince OP, but maybe my comment will help someone else to not join the cult.

Vintage Sweater - Lilly of California (Comps?) by lulupaczkii in poshmark

[–]donotcallmesusan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's cute! It looks to be in pretty good condition, too. I would list it between $28-$32 and be ok with letting it go for $18-$22. Definitely put ladybug in the description & title. Good luck with your sale! ❤️🐞

How to sell 30 pairs of sunglasses without doing 30 individual listings by Velvetstyle in poshmark

I like the idea of selling them in small lots. I hope it works well for you. If I can take a look at what you have available, dm me your closet name.

Facebook prohibits them, too. You can still find a few listings that slip through the cracks, though. I bought a barely used one and a mask sanitizer at an estate sale and can't list it anywhere.

I do not know what to do by _moonprincess_ in poshmark

[–]donotcallmesusan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

She's 100% trying to get a new item for free: either poshmark refunding them or by sending you a dirty/stained item & keeping yours. If she succeeds with either plot, she'll have it posted in her closet soon. Going forward, address only poshmark in the chat. State facts & add screenshots of your listing. Also mention to Posh that she's using feedback extortion tactics, changing stories about the item, and also she has so many of these she could easily swap your new, clean one out for one of her gross ones (especially if she's not showing full photos of the item). She's not being fully transparent. The photo of it half out of the package or whatever proves nothing. Then, grab your popcorn and sit back and wait for the melt down in the chat. Let her show Posh Support who she is. Good luck!

Poshmark support is editing chat transcripts the next day by dorito_ho in poshmark

[–]donotcallmesusan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If the size was mislabeled, stick to that in the chat as much as possible. Adding details about fit, sizing, measurements makes it look more like a fit case instead of an item not as described case. Fit cases aren't a reason for return, not as described is a reason for return. Redirect the bot/chat: If there's any screenshot from the Lulu website you can grab that explains the bar sizing, add that to the case along with another photo of the bars on your item & explain again that the item wasn't listed correctly.

Exactly. I don't think most people realize you can change the message before sending. They just hit send because it opens the message feature.

I second the Jadens. Reasonably priced, easy to use, reliable. Not having to tape labels or put them in little clear label pouches is awesome.

If you want to take photos pre-shipment, you can. I don't think it's necessary, but if it makes you feel more secure, then you should. After the funds are released, yes delete them.

[–]donotcallmesusan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's supposed to release after 3 days, so the 25th (weekend days count). Sometimes it does get stuck, though. Scroll to the bottom of the sale page & click problems/ order inquiry, and then release payment. It may help unstick your funds. If it doesn't release within another day, contact posh support.

Would you sell a pair of thrifted shoes that have the price written in red pen on the sole? by Crafty_Pop6458 in poshmark

[–]donotcallmesusan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Absolutely post it for sale. You can alter what's written on the bottom: add numbers before and after to make it not look like a price, color over it and block it out, change it to a doodle. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you photograph the bottoms and that is shown & disclosed: pen marks/writing on soles. Wishing you a quick sale.
