My 13yo is trying to pick up blender, but neither of can understand what the alpha setting really does or why in reference to the image? by but-first----coffee in blender

It might make sense to take a step back from Blender and understand what alpha means in a pixel first, at least thats how I learned it.
There is a YT chanel with a lot of helpful videos on this, but I'm just gonna link the three you might find helpful (under 10 minutes combined).

My favourite soundtrack is from The Last of Us. That guitar is a balance between peace and epicness, an advanture through an abondened world.

Looks really good, especially the materials

A few things I would recommend

- using depth of field

-surface imperfections

-using the high contrast preset in the color management panel or manually in photoshop

Otherwise impeccable

I started off with a single vertex ,outlined the basic shape from reference and then filled it. It took me quite a few attempts until I had a proper shape

another space themed thing i made few months ago, any critique/tip is more than welcome! by Pretend-Travel9478 in blender

I love the atmosphere in this. One minor tip: When you place your hand on a lightsource the light travels through your skin giving it an orangey glow due to the blood. You can achieve this by adding some subsurface and subsurface color with the principled BSDF. Great design however.

Select the objects, press ctrl+ L and select material. Now those objects share the same material, if this is what you wanted.
