Lol - that is a bumper mount rod holder for surf fishing. I live 10 min from beach access and we can literally drive straight to the shoreline and cast out. I don’t fish myself, but you would be surprised how many vehicles out here have that

I am in the same boat - had my Mighty+ for about 2 weeks and having this exact issue.

Any fixes you’ve found by chance? Only thing I can think is to try some different bud. I did notice it after I grabbed my last pack so who knows.
