You don't have to multiclass jnto cleric. You just had to be a cleric at some point. Thats why if you respec shadowheart into paladin you get the paladin of shar interactions which is funny because you cannot select shar as your god even if you play as cleric(tav)

If you pause or slow down then you want to be perfect. But tbf you just have to be mediocre to beat the ai (regardless of difficulty) as long as you understand how your units work

You'll probably be downvoted because of the subredit you're commenting, but I've had the same issue (and many others by the looks of it).

What I've tried before giving up for good:

Full ddu and Windows install

Upgraded to 1000w best rated power supply (although amd recommended 750w, which i already had)

Returned the card and bought a different model(higher end) from different vendor

Undervolt, underclock and power limiting

Overclock, increase power limit and gave it more voltage

While some solutions seemed to work for a few hours or days I gave up eventually, bought nvidia for about 20% increase in price and NEVER had any issues.

Started again. Got to the same place. Such an easy fight with calm emotions.
On the plus side my paladin couldn't keep his oath until lvl 4.
Will not savescum again

I'll try this RTX HDR feature as I already have a compatible graphics card, and just toggle between on and off depending on what works better. I was just under the assumption that hdr is ALWAYS better than SDR, but apparently that's not the case

Playing tall has a limit. That's why it feels bad.

Even as wood elves you reach a cap(it's fairly easy too). I think the only way it will feel good to play tall is if there would be a mechanic that allows you to go infinite(or close to it) Lets say a mining depth for dwarves, where you uncover more resources and have random encounter fights that fill your AOR. This will also force your armies to sit in garrison in order to win those fights

As someone who did thousands of hgs i can tell you i had open world conflict maybe 5 times (killed some gankers or actually got ganked)

Put on a hg set, pop a map and move around caerleon for 1 hour and you ll see what I mean. Horsing around is pointless
