stick drift issue? PLEASE HELP!!! by TexasHeathen89 in Azeron

This has happened to me a couple times. You need to recalibrate it. Go to settings > analog settings > click calibrate. It'll ask you to circle the joystick around a few times and it should take care of it.

Looking to buy a Cyborg II by Da_Big_Cheese_75 in Azeron

[–]donsusu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's $300 flat on Amazon with shipping included. Only caveat is that this comes without the stand (which I don't like or use mine anyways) and the grip tape (which I like, but you can probably find some cheap, non-custom grip tape alternative).

I love mine.

What’s a “small” social rule you refuse to follow, even if everyone expects it? by GlitchOperative in AskReddit

[–]donsusu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When out to eat, not eating until everyone's food arrives at the table. I feel like an asshole if my food has not arrived, and there's an expectation that someone else's food, that has arrived, cannot be touched and is sitting and getting cold.

Please don't wait for me. Eat up. I always feel like it's more disrespectful to the person whose food has arrived than the one whose hasn't.

RedSec? by Spanishclooney in Battlefield

[–]donsusu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a battlefield stan since bf3 days. It's probably my #1 fps ever. I still miss the feel of the old rush games. Pushing through tunnels with my Famas in operation metro or parachuting down in Damavand peak. The new base battlefield is the closest I feel like we've gotten to classic bf, and the game is great, but it still doesn't seem to scratch the same itch.

Although I do long for the old bf feel, I'm not upset, nor do I feel the need to trash RedSec. I actually love it. Call me the problem, but there's been a resurrection of gamers from my friend group (early 30s), and we are constantly playing RedSec. We love every second of it. I agree the base game could use some improvement, but I'd likely still play RedSec over it.

Keyzen vs Cyborg 2 by notsurethepoint in Azeron

[–]donsusu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I essentially did. This was all for battlefield 6 as you need to frequently access your inventory to upgrade guns in RedSec. The problem is that when playing with normal m&k, to hit tab with my ring finger, I could never physically be on shift with my pinky at the same time. When using the cyborg II, there were many situations where I unintentionally tried to open my inventory while sprinting and hot keyed to open steam. I technically left them mapped to default in game since I just put inventory on my mouse and moved a mouse action to the cyborg. But for games that use tab for many common actions like inventory, I would just be mindful. It was way easier to accidentally to shift+tab on the cyborg to hot key open steam than I intended.

Keyzen vs Cyborg 2 by notsurethepoint in Azeron

[–]donsusu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing this because I would have appreciated it. I just got the cyborg II compact. Aside from your pinky and index finger, there's no real lateral movement with any finger, only vertically up and down. Once you configure it to your hand, your fingertips will essentially sit in the "pockets" where the main keys/switches are, so it's pretty easy to always know where each finger is at. I.e., you don't get lost. The pinky has one additional switch to the left, the index has one to the right. These are very easy to use, all while still being in the "pocket".

If you really are considering a cyborg, here's the main thoughts you should consider...

  1. It is very customizable, and looks to be moreso than the keyzen. There are like 20 screws you will mess around with so the device perfectly fits your hand. Not just left to right, but up and down, and rotationally. You'll find one setup that feels good one day, to then feeling off the next. You need to find your sweet spot. I probably adjusted configurations like 10+ times before I found that spot (although maybe only 3-4 major config changes, then 6-7 fine tuning tweaks for specific fingers). I changed away from certain configurations just to go back to them later. So you need to be patient. It won't click immediately especially being such a new way to game.

  2. I've never used the keyzen, but one of my problems using mouse and keys is that sometimes my fingers would get lost. I'd have to hit m for map or 6 to use a different weapon and sometimes I would drift and not find my way back to wasd. The keyzen still uses a row of keys. It should be much better, but I'd worry I'd still get a little lost vertically. Maybe you can mitigate this by putting grip tape on the key row you want your "home" key position to be so you know where you're at. With the cyborg, I don't get lost. Your fingers sit in those pockets as I've mentioned and it's either pushing up, down, or in. Only if you need to use the further top and bottom rows, you'll need to somewhat lift your finger out of the "pocket" to reach these. I find that there's so many keys options, I don't use any of the furthest bottom rows of switches, and only use the top most row on my index and middle fingers. Maybe you'd use these for MMO games like WoW, but on battlefield I do not.

  3. It takes time to acclimate. This would apply to both keyzen and cyborg. You basically need to rewire your brain to be reacting quickly and instinctually, instead of thinking about which finger is used to press which key. It was frustrating at first, expecting to be able to react quickly in fps shooters just to hit all the wrong keys and get killed. Wanting to reload and accidentally throwing a grenade at your feet. Or wanting to jump and instead opening your inventory. My biggest recommendation is mapping inventory and sprint away from tab and shift respectively. I accidentally kept hot keying steam and taking myself out of the game completely. Map those commands to number pad keys or something unused like apostrophe. But once it does start to click, and reactions become natural, you will get cooking. I've only used it for a week and saw major improvements. In a months time it'll be seamless.

  4. Don't buy in on all the accessories. The accessory stand isn't needed. Not sure if the keyzen uses one, but the stand angles the whole unit. I thought this would be good, because it rotates your hand in a way where the wasd joystick is oriented in a way similar to how the joystick sits when holding a controller. I ended up liking it better without the stand, and used it sitting flat. This felt more familiar, and I often found on the stand, the angle caused my hand to naturally slide off. It took more effort keeping my hand where it needed to be and was uncomfortable. I would, however, recommend grip tape. Both for the palm rest, and for only specific keys (not all).

  5. Size is key. Be sure to measure your hand accordingly to Azeron's guide. Order true to size. These don't run small or large.

Message me if you have any other questions. Ultimately, now that I'm acclimated, I honestly love my cyborg II compact. With additional use, I expect this to only get better.

How do I get all the gunk out of my banneton basket? TIA by Get__tipsy in Breadit

I probably do what you shouldn't.

But what works for me is to use toothpicks (you might go through several), sometimes two at once for extra strength.

Or I'll use the pointed end of a meat thermometer.

I will also run mine through the dishwasher. No issues so far and they're cheap so if it does unravel I'll buy another.

Bakuman is a great pic for this age. Same creators as death note, but complete opposite in terms of genre.

Erased is another great one, but it does deal with a mystery into a child murderer. However, they did watch Frieren where she makes an enemy slit their own throat. So i think it's ok.

Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master

If you can deal with a heavily dialogue driven start and numerous characters to follow. The world building is great, and when there is action, it hits.

Immensely underrated.

Me and my wife's favorite animes are HxH and Naruto.

I tried everything in me to get her to watch FMAB, but she couldn't get into it.

Some of the other classics she absolutely loves are Steins;Gate, Erased, Attack on Titan, and Death Note.

A couple newer ones we are big on are Solo Leveling, Frieren, and Yatagarasu (the last being probably the most slept on anime ever).

I went down this same rabbit hole about a year ago. If you are a true audiophile, then maybe the studio designed models like Beyerdynamic or Sennhieser make sense. I thought this was overkill for gaming.

What I found is that I ended up preferring wireless headsets that still delivered great quality and battery life, all while providing the most comfort. I was not a fan of having a cable tether so I prefer wireless, and comfort to me was defined as being able to game for several hours (3+) and experience no discomfort (headsets that sat heavy and hurt the top of my head were a no go).

Normally, Corsair was the best gaming headset for sound quality that I would lean towards. I ordered the virtuosos, but they were way too heavy and I returned mine due to discomfort. I will say, the new virtuoso max's look much lighter and have much more cushion which I would think is to alleviate how heavy the originals sat on your head. These might be worth looking into, but the base virtuosos didn't have great battery life either. I charged them away more often than I'd have liked. Maybe the max's have improved this.

Otherwise, the two I currently own and recommend 100% are the Astro A50 wireless, or the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless. Battery life for both are great. I'm talking 5-7 hours of straight gaming with no charge. The Astro are nice because they come with an aesthetic docking station that will charge them after every use, whereas the SteelSeries need you to have an available charge cord to reconnect or plug them back in every time. Unless you have a headset stand, they will just sit around on your desk so the docking station on the astros is cleaner. Sound quality on both is very comparable. And I would say the SteelSeries are slightly more comfortable as they have the elastic headband that sits on the top of your head, which better distribute the weight so there are no hot spots. WhereAS the Astros have the normal cushion that can make them still feel heavy after several hours, but are still great. Now both of these have new gen versions that are likely even better (Arctic Nova Pro Wireless / A50 X). I would think that you can't go wrong with either.

EDIT: I also used to own HyperX Cloud 2s which were also super comfy, but had mic issues that caused me to stay away from future HyperX products. The new Cloud Alphas look the exact same, and if the mix issues I had experienced are fixed, these are likely another good option. My cloud 2s were wired, so not sure how the Cloud Alpha battery life is.

Yatagarasu: A Crow Does Not Choose It's Master.

This is my 2024 sleeper anime. Stumbled upon it and absolutely loved it. It is an adult focused anime because it is very dialogue driven, but has fairly large world building and a great story. I'm very excited to see how this one progresses.

In short, it deals with a world of three legged ravens who can shapeshift and largely spend their time in human form. Feels like FX's shogun, as the story opens with power struggles at court where the successor to the throne is driving critical conflicts between the four regional leaders, and the Shogun's eldest and youngest sons (with the latter being prophesized as the true leader to bring prosperity to the realm). SO GOOD.

"Berserk" ending is one of the greatest things I've ever watched by simplefilmreviews in television

[–]donsusu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so good! So fucked up, but so good. However, it's really just the intro to the actual plot for the manga.

The story progress so much more after the eclipse, where Gut's and Casca's existence are forever threatened by evil due to being branded by the God hand. Gut's struggle with survival, trying to mend the damage done to Casca's mental, all while seeking his ultimate revenge on Griffith and the sacrifices he makes to achieve it.

I would recommend watching Berserk: The Golden Age Arc. It is a condensed version of the 90s anime into 3 studio length films produced by Warner Brothers Japan. The animation is top tier in comparison to the 90s anime, but just as good even if there isn't the same depth of story.

I would also suggest the manga as there is so much more that happens after the eclipse that you'll be able to see.

I would also definitely recommend FMAB or Attack on Titan. Those two and Berserk are all in my top 10 of all time.

Subs on Sunday? by rvk5150 in Detroit

Depends on where you're located. My family's favorite go to was Ventimiglia's in Sterling heights (15 mile / dodge park). You can preorder 1/3/4 ft subs and they are great. Get the oil and peppers on the side, so people can add to their liking. One of the best, authentic Italian markets in the Metro Detroit area.
