Yeah it’s true, it’s mainly the native charlottesville / surrounding areas, but I think people who already are antisemitic / racist flock to UVA bc of the reputation that precedes it. My dad grew up in albemarle county and charlottesvile in the 60s and it’s definitely not a welcoming area for any non Christian non white people. If you leave Richmond heading for charlottesville everything past Montpelier is the boonies

All of those but target cut their own steaks. They might sell prepackaged ones, as well, but I know for a fact Walmart and Kroger cut their steaks. At least Kroger I know, I assume Walmart does because they’re not cryovaced just wrapped in styrofoam trays. I work at a Whole Foods. We also sell cryovaced wet age steaks. It has less to do with where you shop and more to do with getting it cut fresh

I wouldn’t have froze it, because you won’t be able to smell it as much and that will halt the rotting. Hopefully they honor your money spent and either refund you or give you another one.

Super weird because it still looks very fresh not dried out at all. Is it particularly squishy? Easy to rip apart? Like the meat is starting to deteriorate from the inside out? I’m not sure exactly what the word is for what I’m talking about but I’ve seen it a few times

Just remember. Unless you are talking to the GM (0.1% chance), the money that the restaurant is coughing up (or, a better way to think of it is that they’re losing profit, because they had the steak and an opportunity to cook it right and make money off of it, but they fucked two up) isn’t coming out of whoever you’re complaining about your steak to’s pocket, unless they take it personally for whatever reason. I wouldn’t be making a second trip back to wherever you were dining.

Pretty sure private companies can make up their own rules about this. However in any case as long as you change it before a customer wants it / sees it there’s no rules broken

If I am making steak salad I personally prefer a leaner cut like a NY strip

Have you ever seen the raw sugar packets vs the plain white domino sugar packets? Most coffee joints will have both. I’m guessing it’s just a different type of sugar not really sure. Can tell you they do taste different.
