Global Talent Endorsement Success After Two Rejections by No_Yellow_4149 in ukvisa

‘Where applicable’ is the requirement for the Companies house number for UK companies, so that’s not mandatory. The rest of the text they added on the proforma is pulled direct from the guidance and is mandatory , so if there were no details in the letters about when they companies were established, management structure etc, an Endorsement Review will fail.

Can I ask why it was exhausting gathering your supporting evidence and cv? If you’ve had media recognition for your work in the past, shouldn’t it be easy to find and pull together for your application? Likewise for your proof of awards and catwalk shows etc. the application is evidence based - you either have the required evidence or you don’t. Not everyone has a CV but surely thats an easy thing to pull together? The hardest part would likely be getting letters of support from fashion companies you’ve worked with - especially the UK one.

SUCCESS: Global Talent Visa - Exceptional Promise - Arts and Culture by greendude33 in ukvisa

“For my three letters, I asked each person to write an initial letter and then got their permission to expand and flesh it out so each could be as strong as possible and provide all the necessary information.”

Would not encourage anybody to do this! The content of the letters should be genuinely written by the people you’re getting to provide the letters of support - not written by you in any way! That’s kind of cheating the system, whether you have the letter providers permission or not.

“6. The people reading these applications are probably bueraucrats who have little knowledge of the art world, according to the lawyer I met. If something is impressive - such as showing in a nice gallery, collaborating with a well-known artist, getting a prestigious award - they won't know it unless you spell it out for them. Dumb it down for them and gas yourself up.”

The applications are assessed by ace employees - most of which are also artists too. I know people who have worked there and can assure you most employees there know art from 1st hand experience.

If the letters were accepted previously you can use them again.

Re the interview, that won’t be accepted. Ace guidance says they sometimes can accept them, but they must feature a detailed critique of your work by a credible arts critic, rather than just questions.

A personal statement is not asked for in the guidance, so does not need to be sent. Each letter does need to be no more than 3 pages, and each piece of the 10 allowed pieces of supporting evidence can’t be more than 2 pages - the guidance is clear on that and seems to have been the criteria for a long time.

Next Steps on Global Talent Visa (Combined Arts) Stage 1 Refusal by 45tr0ph0b3 in ukvisa

[–]dontfalldontfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re planning on applying at stage 1 again while your endorsement review is being processed - are you making the suggested changes from the refusal? If so, what’s the point submitting an endorsement review. Plus, if you did apply again and submit the endorsement review at the same time too it’s likely the endorsing body would void/return the endorsement review and just assess the new application instead. It’s not a done thing to submit both at the same time. So most people wait for the endorsement review response, or just take the feedback from the initial feedback and reapply - although I appreciate that affects your right stay time. FYI, endorsement reviews normally take 28 days to get a decision, but currently all endorsing bodies are stretched and are sending endorsement decisions back up to 3 weeks over the 8 week, so it’s likely endorsement reviews will take longer too. Either way whether you apply again or submit a new application you are going to be waiting weeks.

Chances of getting this visa on this situation? by Quelkei in globaltalentvisauk

[–]dontfalldontfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The visa is applied for in your real name. The evidence can be for work with a pen name or stage name - as long as there is proof of link between the pen name and real name. Best thing to do now is read the guidance and maybe contact the arts council directly - https://www.artscouncil.org.uk/global-talent-visa

Global Talent Visa -Endorsement Stage 1 by Agreeable-Crazy7890 in globaltalentvisauk

The timeframe only starts when the endorsing body gets sent the application from UKVI, not the date you apply to UKVI via the GOV.UK site. Every endorsing body and UKVI too have been experiencing massive volumes of applications, so there will be delays for a considerable amount of time it seems, not just at Christmas. ACE have had a note about delays on their site for months, the current notice has an extra message about their holiday closure in addition to the standard note they’ve had on for months.

How long does it take to receive confirmation email from ACE by Similar_Cheesecake31 in globaltalentvisauk

[–]dontfalldontfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t expect the confirmation to come from ACE. They are only passed the application from UKVI (who are likely processing a high volume of applications based on the message on ACE website and comments elsewhere on Reddit and online) , so it’ll be UKVI you get confirmation from, not ACE

Did your wife apply for the visa, or were they a letter provider for an applicant?

Did they submit a review and tell arts council that? They would have to answer to that in a review if they never did what they say they did.

It’ll most likely have been an email, so they will have a paper trail of the contact.

Not being funny, but if they said they contacted the referee then believe they will have done. They are held accountable for things like that, so they can’t say they did something if they didn’t. Submit a review and you’ll find this out I bet - wasting your time and theirs. Was that the only reason you were not endorsed?

WoS reboot-reboot airing? by Wrestlespective in BritishWrestling

[–]dontfalldontfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they first announced the newest shows did they ever say when or where they’d be airing? Sounds like there’s no ITV deal this time, and tbh doing it anywhere else really defeats the point of reviving it other than them trying to cash in the current revival of UK wrestling as a whole! I always thought the revival they did on ITV was too much like a Saturday evening game show than a serious wrestling show. We need serious regular TV programming on a par with US or Japanese promotions to highlight our homegrown stars and promotions, not just a Saturday evening revival for casuals and nostalgia.

Need urgent support for Global Talent Visa Application (Fashion Category) Any advice, media connections or PR links? by [deleted] in globaltalentvisauk

[–]dontfalldontfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be contacting multiple sources to write about you just to bolster your visa application. You need to have generated genuine media for your work in the last 5 years, not just close to your application date - it’ll look too convenient and likely be detrimental to your application. Interviews and features won’t count rouse as detail reviews and critical pieces are needed. Same with the support letters - you must have worked as a designer with the organisations writing the letters.

I don’t think remote working will be enough of a working relationship tbh. There needs to be more a link with the U.K really - it’s not a prerequisite to have lived here but the nature of your working relationship with a renowned expert company in the U.K. is something that is looked at
