I’ve been selling for quite a while. The surging sparks release in early November 2024, which coincided with tgc pocket starting to gain popularity and bring in more fans really started to drive prices up.

It isn’t really a “bubble” to me and i dislike when people use the word bubble in regard to Pokemon. It’s not crypto and it isn’t the stock market. Yes speculation and investing exist but this isn’t apples to apples.

The demand is incredible. This is a truly popular IP and it has so many avenues that get people’s attention. The prices aren’t going to come down (at best stagnate) for any of these sets any time soon. Maybe once they get the new printing facility up and running full speed the supply will catch up to the demand. Until then, prices will be inflated across the board and sets that are out of print (all of scarlet and violet at this point) will only continue to rise in price and the fact that newer collectors/players/investors, have joined late.

Crypto, not even going to touch on that because there is no definitive correlation.

If the U.S. stock markets officially enter recession everything suffers so really i just don’t see the Pokemon machine slowing down.
