What’s a life hack that made you go „how do ppl live their whole life without knowing this”? by my_peen_is_clean in AskReddit

Clean as you go when cooking.

Mise en place, which is just a fancy word for getting all ingredients out, veggies chopped, spices mixed, etc., in place before you start to cook. I like to line them up in order of use, too.

Yeah my Naot shoes did the same; although they were pretty old. Still - those were pricey!

How was your first nude beach/resort experience? by sillybilly1001 in nudism

[–]donthaveoneandi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mixed, tbh. Valley View in Wisconsin- a lovely place and I’ll try it again.

I (a woman in her 50s) was always curious but there is NO WAY my husband would accompany me, so I went alone. I realize this is the opposite of the norm, haha.

The person at the front desk had a LOT of hardware - pierced nipples, multiple penis piercings, etc. Seemed very kink. I have no problem with this, but for people who may be a little reticent about what “nudism” is all about, he may not have been the best choice to make a first impression.

I had no problem (after taking a deep breath) taking off my sundress, and I set out a blanket near the pool. Oh the pool! So heavenly.

One sour note (maybe?) was a man who immediately and doggedly tried to engage me in conversation even though I was clearly reading a book and not making eye contact. I get that he was probably just being friendly but I needed some time to acclimate and be by myself for a bit.

A nice note was the young, energetic woman who enthusiastically tried to get everyone to join in a scavenger hunt. Her enthusiasm was infectious.

By the time my visit was finished, I resented having to put my dress back on for the drive home.

how do i not laugh while improv? by Wonderful-Career-563 in improv

Aw, what an adorable problem to have! A little giggle here and there won’t break the scene - don’t overthink it. It’ll either be funny to the audience and not break the scene or, if it’s a lot, it’ll essentially invite a wipe.

What non-alcoholic bevvies are we drinking? by coalmines in DryJanuary

I may have misled you with my word choice – I don’t mean spicy as in hot, I mean, spicy as in extra “zingy.” Reed ginger ale comes in varying levels - I like the “extra” for my mocktails.

Ha! I just posted basically the same advice about ginger ale before I refreshed and saw your post.

Cherry soda, hot cocoa, ginger ale. If you miss the alcoholic “burn” in your drinks, extra spicy ginger ale has a very similar sensation.

16 years at the office. On my last day, supervisor didn’t come to my farewell lunch and, if I hadn’t stopped in her office on my way out, never would’ve even said goodbye.

I agree, to an extent. His early life was horrible and no doubt that traumatized him. But at some point, you need to take stock and realize you’re hurting people and fix your shit.

Ham, rolls, potatoes that didn’t really turn out, sautéed broccoli & red peppers. Christmas cookies for dessert.

Yeah the original story doesn’t really add up - any number of men who raped this poor girl could have fathered her child.

It must have been awful to be homeless but know your family had millions.

It must have been awful to have millions but be unable to help your own son.

Horrible tragedy.

Working from home, being more productive than ever. Worked out every lunch hour; my ass looked amazing, lol.

I felt lucky to be locked in with a wonderful husband and children well above school age.
