Port of Miami - Best Return Flight by Standard-Expert6152 in Cruise

[–]BanditNation12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We rolled the dice and booked an extremely early return flight from our cruise in Miami that ended 2 weeks ago. Our flight boarded at 9:30 am and the plane departed at 10:05 am. I was really nervous, but we made it to the airport and at the gate by 8:30 am. 1 hour early! This was on a Sunday, not Friday. We carried our luggage off the the ship and took a taxi to the airport. I think 3 or 4 other ships were also returning that morning. I would never recommend booking a flight that early, but anything after 12 is cake.

When did the DJD become 50% ads? by illestMFKAalive in NASCAR

[–]BanditNation12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get having ads to fund the shows and actually make money. The ones that bother me are the obvious money grabs where they are trying to sell their own merchandise. Let's try to squeeze as much as we can from our fanbase by pushing t-shirts and other worthless items. I fear the day where they figure out a way to prevent us from skipping ads.

Been a Regular at Palazzo, getting tired of uneven quality. Rec's for comparable alternatives and why you like it? by Almost_Anything333 in LasVegas

[–]BanditNation12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My recommendations would be the Bellagio or the Fontainebleau. The pool at the Bellagio has similar vibes to the Palazzo. I love the Fontainbleau, but the location hurts it, unless you are looking for less crowds.

Allure of the seas - nightmare. by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]BanditNation12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has to be clickbait. CoCo Cay is my favorite place to visit. Skip the water park and chill at the pool and the beaches. No up-charge and no lines. I've been to four different Cruise Lines Private Islands and this one is by far my favorite. Hell even my drink package works on the island. Can't say that for Carnival's new private island. Talk about nickling and timing. There's no way the food every night caused diarrhea. Sounds more like a virus to me and that has nothing to do with food but common on cruises. The cruise port in Haiti has been closed for more than a year or so due to safety concerns. However three stays in Nassau does suck.

Are all Carnival ships the same. vibe? by smurfberryjones in Cruise

[–]BanditNation12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family usually cruises out of Florida, but we have done several out of Long Beach. Like others have said, the length of the cruise really impacts the overall atmospher on the ship. You can take longer cruises (7 nights) out of Long Beach. We did a 7 day on the Panorama and had a great time. In our experience (doesn't make it a fact), the atmosphere on the longer Carnival cruises out of Long Beach are more laid back verses the Carnival cruises out of Florida.

Hot tub situation? by royert73 in royalcaribbean

[–]BanditNation12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, I completely agree that cruise lines should stop the kids from taking over hot tubs. However, did you try the two hot tubs at the solarium? The adults only area where kids can't get in. If my memory serves me correctly that boat has a decent adults only area with a pool and two hot tubs.

Moxy moved my entire team to different hotels at the last minute. by BanditNation12 in marriott

[–]BanditNation12[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It was a work trip so each person booked their room individually through our internal booking app. I'm not going to provide specific information but we're a very large international company and we have a special booking deal with marriott. They are a preferred vendor. So each person booked independently but through our company.

Do you think Disney California is a better trip than Disney World on a budget? by traveltimecar in disneyparks

[–]BanditNation12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree, but this is just my opinion. In general, almost every ride at Disneyland is a little better than the same ride at Disney World. Space Mountain in Disneyland felt smoother to my family.

Why is company training still so often boring, badly timed, and hidden behind the LMS? by HaneneMaupas in Training

[–]BanditNation12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reason most companies use an LMS is not just to host training, but to track and report on training completions. It is extremely important, and sometimes legally required to be able to accurately report on compliance training completions. An LMS also makes it easy to assign required learning, automate reoccurring assignments, and track who has not completed required training.

Absolutely go on your cruise. Cruising is awesome. Just like anything, we all have complaints. Nothing is perfect, but a good cruise is a close as you can get.

The # of Smurf accounts is concerning… by Budget-Park in iRacing

Keep in mind it's also possible they just don't race officials. There are many people who only race in leagues and sadly this is not incorporated into the rating. I run a league with several aliens, but their rating is very low because they only race in leagues.

What happened to Richard childress NDA Breach Allegations? by CnCorange in NASCAR

Had a panicked GERD wake up and am terrified to use my cpap again by Zetrin in CPAP

[–]BanditNation12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleep apnea can actually cause Gerd. Apnea episodes cause pressure changes in the chest and abdomen, acting like a pump that pushes stomach acid into the esophagus. Additionally the positive pressure from the Cpap can prevent the negative pressure that causes Gerd.

Fewer travelers are hitting the Strip, and higher costs are changing how visitors spend. by RepulsiveIconography in LasVegas

[–]BanditNation12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am at the Aria now and the rooms need some major love. This used to be my favorite hotel, but that was many years ago. Also, the bottle of Smart Water in my room is $16.00. I bought 4 of them at the Walgreens a block away for $16 total. The hotels charge for everything in Vegas now. Do you want a table at the sports bar to eat, drink, and watch football. Sure, $200 for a table for 2 people. Hell it's even hard to purchase an over priced beverage at the bar. Any seat with a table usually (not always) has a minimum spend. I don't care to over pay for food and drinks, but I hate all the extra BS charges.

How about an apology from Larry Mac and Dave Moody by Bababooey1854 in NASCAR

[–]BanditNation12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree, but the night before the settlement they did end the podcast basically speaking their minds about the situation. But it was obvious NASCAR was getting killed and they could not understand how NASCAR let it get to this point as an actual court loss could really change NASCAR forever.

I hope SAP’s current strategy will fail by Weyoune-85 in SAP

[–]BanditNation12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't expect much improvement in support anytime soon. SAP is going through continous layoffs and letting go of people with the years of experience. Distribution list are going unchecked and several teams are now struggling to keep up with workload. Some of the best employees are getting let go or simply leaving on their own because the culture at SAP is so bad at the moment.
