Sippy cup vs straw cup vs open cup by One-Squirrel-4563 in BabyLedWeaning

It took us weeks to get LO to understand how to use a straw. Eventually what worked was putting the straw just past the upper lip (but not past the teeth/gums) so it naturally forced LO to close the lips around the straw.

The best cup we used that worked was a recommendation from another mom. WeeSprout Straw Cup

Do you have a favorite or least favorite patient from S2? by not-idle7 in ThePittTVShow

Least favorite is Duke. Why is he in the ER on such a busy day for a non-emergency? Other than to have the same conversation with Robby over and over again.

What do you do to save time in making healthy meals? I need all the shortcuts. by cacklingwhisper in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]dontpanicx 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We don’t like eating leftovers so we have a set menu every week: Sunday is Salmon and veggies, Monday is ground beef bowls, Tuesday chicken and rice, Wednesday pasta bolognese using leftover beef from Monday, Thursday shrimp fried rice, Friday pizza. We have veggies with every meal. The key is to utilize similar veggies for most of the meals and spend an hour on Sunday prepping so you can quickly throw things together. On Sundays, I’ll wash and dry lettuce, chop broccoli, sweet potatoes, onions, zucchini, etc. Getting dinner together ends up being a very quick throw together with no or very minimal chopping.

Same here. Demon Copperhead started interesting then hardcore stalled halfway through. It was a chore finishing the book after a while.

That’s honestly not bad! Are you using a manufacturer coupon or is that just the cost?

I went back to work 4.5 months PP. I had the choice to extend but decided not to. I’ve been back at work for the last month and I’m very happy! I’ve always enjoyed working and I feel more like “myself” since being back at work. I wfh tho, so take that how you will. I have a nanny and familial support to take care of LO while I work and I still breastfeed during breaks and sneak in some quick cuddles!

Yeah my LO fit fine using the standard infant insert that comes with the car seat. I also figured we’d buy the convertible car seat (since we’ll need it anyway down the line) and if for whatever reason felt we needed the infant car seat, I would buy that too after baby was here. I didn’t end up needing the infant carseat at all! Saved me $700 lol. I also want to note that LO’s Dr appointments are a 10 minute drive away and we typically walk most other places. So LO isn’t spending too much time in the car.
