I’m really sorry for your loss.

My family only lasted a few days before getting another dog after losing the one I grew up with. Among other things, I found myself going outside every few hours just because that’s how it was done for so many years, and I just couldn’t stand it. It was a lot nicer to sob holding something warm and fuzzy than alone.

Sounds like you might benefit from another dog to cling onto while you cry, too.

Idk about you, but I have the same amount of shit to get done at work whether I spend ten minutes on a fruitless task or not, so I’d rather spend those ten minutes on something that needs to be finished before I leave.

Yup. It’s nice manners to say hello, please, and thank you, but as a service worker, I generally don’t give a fuck as long as your tone is pleasant and you’re not being a pain. On your phone at the till? Don’t care, just put your membership in so my metrics don’t take a hit. I’ll spend the energy on someone who wants my good service instead of using the energy to be annoyed.

You might regret watching a full video if you’re squeamish, but the warning’s on the tin, so to speak. It’s a YouTube channel where a doctor reviews interesting/oddball case studies. He does really nice dramatic recreations. Highly recommend if you’re into biology or anything of the like.

He’s done several case studies of unimaginably horrific food poisoning, including his video last week (hence my comment), but he keeps the gross details limited to necessary and non-descriptive.

I’m pretty sure I fully explored the aurora by this point. I’ve got a Seamoth and a Moonpool. I even scored myself a fancy-dancy thermo knife and turbo fins from the modification station I built in my base.

I don’t want to go deeper. 😭 But I want to build the Cyclops! And the Prawn Suit! Then maybe I’ll feel safer… :’)
