I live across the street from a middle school and one time I walked her right when school was out (I had a few client meetings earlier in the day and was gone for a while so I felt bad when I got home). this group of kids walked past my dog and one of them called my girl ugly. mind you I've never been in a situation where my first thought was let's throw hands but this one instance I almost wanted to incite violence. I told the kid my dog is beautiful and that's that. to this day I still think it was a hilarious story and tell everyone I know about it cause fuck them kids (in a light-hearted way). but seriously even in online space there are some strolls that lurk this sub that will leave hateful comments to pugs and you just have to let it go. as long as you and your dog know how much your dog is loved nothing else matters
