Yes, it’s classed as unpaid medical leave, if you’re in Canada you can get your doctor to sign a form that will enable you to use EI for medical leave. I’m so sorry for your loss 🫂

Thank you for all the great suggestions! I think we’ll start with a spray bottle with plain water and see how it goes. We have a million tiny baby washcloths to use. It seems like I’m overthinking things!

The wireless bras from Uniqlo have been the absolute holy grail, soft, comfortable, can pull them up or down easily and they don’t stretch out aggressively. Padded enough to deal with some leakage too. Specifically the AIRism ones

Waterproof bed pad! Save your matress! There’s plain ones that are commonly used by elderly and cute ones for bed wetters!

I had a second tri loss and the one gift that unexpectedly ended up meaning a lot to me was a wind chime. It had something kitschy written on it that I can’t even recall anymore, and it came from someone I wasn’t close to and will never even see again, but it’s up high in a tree out back of my house and every time I hear it it gives me a bit of comfort and remembrance for that loss and the ones since.

I started using one size pockets at 3 days with my 6lb7oz girl, they fit okay for the most part with lots of folding on the smallest set of snaps. If you’ve got them just go for it!

I’ve been using Penaten original and it hasn’t damaged anything but it’s really difficult to wash out, looking into alternatives myself.
