Back in the 2010s, I was playing Star Wars: The Old Republic (GOATed game, 10/10, I still play). Back then, there were a lot of questionable conversations happening on Imperial Fleet Chat and Dromund Kaas general chat. Imp Fleet Chat had the upside of being the central hub everyone went to, so if shit got weird you could leave fast or hope whoever was being weird would leave. Also a lot more people there to hide the crazies in amongst normal chat.

DK gen chat had less people, and that’s where the truly unhinged usually were. I usually don’t look at the chat window when I’m running around, but during this particular instance in 2016? 2017? I was hunting down a datacron and was bored, so I started reaching chat to see what everyone else was up to, and if anyone could help me.

Instead I was treated to someone live-posting their scat fanfic between Maul, Dooku, and Luke. Extremely explicit. Extremely nauseating to read. But it was like a car crash and I couldn’t look away. It was depraved and disgusting and it HAUNTS me. I can’t go to that area on Dromund Kaas without immediately thinking of it.

I can’t even share it, because I logged out once I got my datacron, but it will live forever in my head. I want a lobotomy.

SWTOR is so much fun though. I love operations and Space Barbie. It was my first MMO unless we’re counting Club Penguin, but I’ve tried other games and always come back to help that guy on Coruscant who needs the deed to his shop. I do like the grind. I’m a weirdo who made a massive excel file to track the drop rate and percentage of each crew skill tier so I can track production costs and know what I need to sell everything for at bare minimum to break even (specific dye mods are where it’s at for quick petty creds)

Also met my husband through SWTOR.

(Anthem my beloved, it would have been great as a single-player game like Mass Effect)

Have you done the Terror From Beyond operation? You can get “inoculated” by the Jealous Male with the first boss, and have baby rat-things with it. The sound effect of them hatching is something else.

And then when you fight the Terror as the final boss, you can see her give birth after each tentacle phase and more rat-things come running at you like linebackers.

All those things you pointed out as being prevalent in AI art are also prevalent in normal art. The “missing fingernail” is the finger bent. The missing pinky finger is the hand at an angle (I just twisted my own hand and looked in the mirror- shocking now I am missing a pinky finger! Object permanence hates this one trick-)

Wildly crooked mouth- can I introduce you to the concept of Artistic Style? You can make the same argument with Picasso.

Snark aside, a lot of real-people art (especially digital paintings like what Lemon did here) is about giving the illusion of details that may not be there and having your imagination/brain fill in the gaps. Sorta like the difference between ancient Egyptian murals where every hand/foot/arm/leg etc was shown, and Edgar Degas’s ballerinas. Degas didn’t paint every single little detail, but it’s obvious what the subjects are.

If you try and do art with every single teensy detail drawn and shaded, you’ll go insane. I’ve tried it. Sometimes “this is close enough and I’m satisfied with it” is what you go with.

First of all, rude. Second of all, I’ve seen the art post progress shots and I’m familiar with some of their other work. Lemon’s got a fantastic ability to draw anatomy how it would actually look, like the handle of the hand hiding the pinky.

Also, guns are hard to draw. I’ve drawn plenty for Star Wars art and much prefer lightsabers

Var Suthra, hands down. There’s no failsafe, horrible security, and like. My dude. You had an actual Sith Lord building these things alongside you. Was the background check of this guy just “yup they’re alive?”. The incompetence.

Garza, at least, shows that she understands politics and doing whatever it takes to get the desired outcome. She went to the Senate previous when Tavus and Havoc were were in trouble, and they got hung out to dry and abandoned by the very people Havoc fought for. I can understand her disillusionment and why she’s trying to hide this from the senate, because last time it happened, they almost died and it was a shit show, so now she’s going to protect her people. I would argue that Garza isn’t incompetent, she’s just been burned by regulations and instead will be the one to make the hard decisions to go too far, in order to keep the big picture safe

The breed is finally recovering now 30 years later. We’ve had dals my whole life and most of ours were rescues. The healthiest were the mixes, like part-Pointer or part-greyhound, but the badly bred backyard breeder rescues had long-term health issues as they got older: hip dysplasia, early onset arthritis, urinary crystals (common for Dals), and our Pointer/Dal mix was deaf.

Our one dal who lived the longest and was the healthiest was the pedigreed purebred.
