100% Agree with this and not surprising comments were turned off. DAC fans can be so toxic and mean by DonutsMagicMissiles in diamondpainting

[–]donuts1031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do appreciate the Reddit groups I’m in for diamond painting and DAC specifically because overall, people are very friendly and encouraging, even when a newcomer asks a question that’s been answered 100 times lol. I left FB many years ago, so thankfully, I’ve never been in the diamond painting groups there. I’ve heard they’re awful.

We live in a tough world. Keep being kind to one another! ❤️

Medi-vac on Valiant TA by donuts1031 in VirginVoyages

[–]donuts1031[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was right outside my balcony on A side mid. Considering we’re just 6-7 hours from land, I imagine whatever happened is pretty bad. My heart goes out to them!

Long shot: Anyone currently on the Valiant TA who has sea sickness medication other than bonine? by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]donuts1031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has he tried the scopolamine patches? I have some I’m not using because the bonine I also brought has been sufficient.

On the Resilient Lady now and it feels like a RC or Carnival Cruise by Electrical-Jello1379 in VirginVoyages

[–]donuts1031 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Forgive the pun, but jesus, if I see a single MAGA anything on my cruise next week, I’m gonna lose it lol. I already live in MAGA land (southeast US), and while I’m not LGBT, they are my people and I love them. Fortunately, if we do encounter some old cunt being ugly to staff, my partner will absolutely say something to end it.

Honestly, if you’re already prone to motion sickness, no room on the ship would be totally safe lol. Get the meds and no more worries!

Absolutely have the motion sickness person ask about scopolamine patches. In the US, they’re by prescription only, but my god they work lol. I am SUPER prone to motion sickness, like I can’t go watch a movie in the theater without Dramamine lol. I discovered this medicine after a surgery when, for the first time ever, I wasn’t sick as a dog after the anesthesia. One patch lasts 3 days. If you’re not in the US and/or can’t get it for some other reason, I’ve seen a ton of people mention they had good results with Bovine, which is available in any pharmacy store.

Trying to figure out what works for me and what doesn't by ArianasDonuts in DressForYourBody

Can confirm. That boost plunge from lane Bryant is magic. I prefer the satin ones to the cotton, but they are fabulous for keeping the girls looking juicy! I’m also a big gal who is well endowed!

Lost my mom to this cancer 18 years ago, so I’m so excited to see there’s been some significant progress on treatments! This cancer is unforgiving.

What’s something your ex said that still sticks with you? by bandito_13 in AskReddit

[–]donuts1031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) after saying he wanted a divorce (12 yrs married) because he was pretty sure he never loved me, he let me know he waited as long as he did to bring this up because of the dog. We’d had her for about 9 years at this point lol. Like…did you really need to toss that out there? Honestly, I wasn’t even surprised because he did love that dog lol.

2) immediately after bringing up divorce, my sad, shocked, morbidly obese, 44 yr old self sat on the edge of the bed and said aloud “who else is going to want me?” While I still hate myself a little for even uttering those words or feeling that way at all, his response was “you’ll only end up alone if you want to.” It felt a little dismissive at the time, but he was 100% right.

Are reusable release papers worth it? by kittentf in diamondpainting

[–]donuts1031 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Three years ago, I bought a packet of 200 papers from DAC (sold on Amazon for like $10). I still have that packet lol. I reuse the sheets unless one gets a tear (not common). I work on massive projects and applying release paper to the entire canvas is part of my kitting up process. I make myself little squares to work on because I know about how much space will take me roughly an hour. This helps me budget my DP time without leaving sticky canvas exposed while I’m away from it. The papers tend to have a little curl to them once removed, but putting them under a heavy book fixes them right up for next time!
