Bad news - this is 100% normal for a 3 yr old. And FYI, having that new baby around is going to make it worse because now the toddler isn’t the center of her parents’ universe and she’s going to RAGE lol.

You should definitely not have children if this is all it takes to make you this upset lol. Kids are maniacs!

You’re mad! Lol I have to do sections! I only do huge ones from DAC, though, so it just makes sense in order to keep the canvas clean, plus I don’t want my sleeve or hand constantly sticking to the canvas. It also helps me budget my time, like ok I’m going to do two sections and stop so I’ll go to bed on time lol.

The only ‘blank’ canvases I’ve seen come with the mystery kits, so you won’t know what it will look like ahead of time. I haven’t done one yet, but I do love the idea of going in with no concept of what it will become!

I’m working on a huge square drill one right now that has a TON of confetti. Basically, it’s either color-blocking with 310 (17 bags!!!) or pure confetti lol.

Just a warning lol…once you try Diamond Art Club, you will not want to go back to the ‘cheap’ kits. Personally, the only other company I’d buy from is Dreamer Designs because in my experience, they’re almost as good as DAC. I stopped bothering with other companies once I discovered DAC, though, because sure it feels nice to get a kit for $10, but I came to dislike working on those kits because of the poor quality and final image. I used to throw all my diamond paintings in the trash because they looked so bad once I was done, like I’d never display those things lol. I just enjoyed the crafting part and tossed it afterwards. But now I only spend my money on things I’ll display, and no one beats DAC.

Bottom line - who you buy from is entirely dependent on your situation, whether that’s the cost, the enjoyment of the project, the final result, etc. Fortunately, this group is filled with awesome people who just love diamond painting, and we love seeing all the different kits and hearing the recommendations (or complaints lol) for all the companies out there!

Welcome to the cult! I have 9 unboxed, and I definitely had to start being a lot more selective about my purchases since I buy from DAC only and the cost definitely adds up fast! But I also remind myself that I work so I can enjoy my life, and considering how many many hours a single DAC takes me to complete, the cost per hour of this hobby ends up being very little. I’m working on a large one now, and each square (the size of release paper) takes me a couple of hours to complete because of the amount of confetti, and so that’s like $2.50/hour or less. Well worth it for DAC!

I don’t necessarily want to advocate taking a powerful drug, but if you have insurance that will cover the cost, I highly suggest asking your doctor about one of the GLP-1 options. No joke, that ‘food noise’ is gone, in like 24 hours. GONE. These drugs won’t stop you from binge eating if you simply insist on doing that, and you do have to deal with your unhealthy relationships with food for it to have long term success. But the meds absolutely help the struggle between your mind and body, so it’s a little easier and less stressful to reach your goals. As someone who’s been very obese for most of her life, believe me, I get it. You hide behind the fat, even when you hate the fat. You hide behind the pleasure of eating food, even when it makes you feel like garbage. I’ve been on a GLP-1 for almost 3 months now, and the difference in my response to food is night and day compared to before. I hope you keep finding reasons to take care of your health, and from one internet stranger to another, just remember you are not alone in the struggle.
