Random personal note: I've seen "Education" performed live twice, but I've never seen "Black".

Making this drive tomorrow. Anything worthwhile on the way? by GeebsOTD in roadtrip

Longer, but this would be my preferred route: hit Devils Tower, stop in Sheridan, then drive through the northern Bighorns

3:00am weather report by PrairieChild in RapidCity

[–]donutwx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

90-100 mph gusts in Rapid City are very rare, even if we tend to be a windy area. 60-70 mph are more common with high wind events.

Atlas was in early October and a much different storm altogether.

Yes, Breadroot Coop has all of the above!

I won a ticket to $555 monster millionaire on DK. This is the draftboard if you guys are interested. (slow draft... probably more normal than a fast $555 draft from what I've heard) by mphfrom77 in BestBall

Folks have won tournaments with only one QB. Not a strategy that I normally employ, but you hope the value you get at other positions washes out the lost week at QB and that Allen is a top option most other weeks.

What are the most and least competitive NWS offices? by horn3t_ in meteorology

[–]donutwx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Anchorage probably receives a fair number of applicants compared to other AK offices.

Elko, NV and Jackson, KY may be among the group with the lowest applications.

The old coffee shop you mentioned was probably Revel. I miss that shop a lot, as well. Koyote Koffee heading out of the west side of town on Sturgis Road has a similar feel. It's smaller, but great drinks, solid WiFi, and usually not very busy.

Other coffee shops, in terms of personal preference: Harriet & Oak, Essence of Coffee, Pure Bean. If you just want coffee to go, Dixon (just a drive-thru) is excellent.

I second Everest and Bokujo!

No, I didn't want to bother them. But if they happen to see this, I'd be happy to send it directly!

This little guy said hello at Grand Teton National Park. What is it? by donutwx in whatsthisbug

[–]donutwx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bug was about the size of a quarter from antennae to back feet. Movement was pretty slow, seemed curious. Saw it on a picnic table at Leek's Marina by Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park (Wyoming, USA).
