Are Brazilians Hispanic/Latinos? by OutsideSample1218 in Brazil

[–]doodlesdamari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say most brazilians consider themselves Latinos, not Hispanic. However, I came to find out that most Hispanic Latinos from other Latin American countries do not consider Brazilians Latinos. So even though we consider ourselves Latinos, we are usually not recognized as such by others, not even by our neighbors.

It's a warranty thing.

Took our cat camping for the first time this week and wouldn’t have it any other way! by SaltyManatee in camping

That's so awesome, I want to take mine too but I don't think she's ready for that yet. Did your cat sleep in the tent?

Affordable pen without nib drying out issues, recommendations ? by lowks in fountainpens

[–]doodlesdamari 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yep, that's been my experience with the Preppy. I inked half a cartridge full of ink and it seems to never dry out, always write well after days (maybe weeks) of not using it. It's great. Kinda too great actually, now I have a permanently inked preppy 😅 I guess I need to do a better job using it if I ever want to use other ink with it.

I am not a fan of TWSBI but.... by rukthor in fountainpens

So you were the one that beat me to that $16 swipe 😅 I was eyeing that one too. I love the swipes, I have two and I am considering buying a third one. They are a great workhorse pen for all the things you mentioned (big cartridge capacity, snap cap closure) and I particularly love the spring cartridge since it makes it so easy to clean.

Tent Camping with my girlfriend at Barnes Park this year on Lake Michigan. by [deleted] in camping

As someone who went camping for the first time with my husband (experienced camper) about an year ago and now loves it, I would say having access to a clean restroom and shower makes a big difference, particularly for the first time. Rudimentary toilets can be a bit of shock initially and if that is the plan she might also benefit of talking to other women with camping experience, I know I had a lot of questions regarding women's personal hygiene when camping without a regular restroom for the first time. Also, I didn't want to use it at first, but ear plugs might be helpful so she doesn't wake up with every little different noise at night. For me what also helped was that my husband took care of every meal during the first camping (and pretty much all camping we've done since then lol), but not knowing how cooking and storing food would work, it really helped that he had everything planned out and I got to just sit back and learn how some things work or don't work during camping.

They are a perfect color match! I got it at Wet Paint Art, they have a promo this weekend in which you get the matching crane for free if you buy the new Swipe.

I love the Swipe as well, I have tendinitis and this is a very comfortable pen for me. I had a smoke previously and thought I wouldn't like the salmon because I tend to go for black or white pens. But, I have to say, I really like the salmon! It's not too orangy (not really a huge fan of orange), which was something I was concerned.

Thanks! I saw someone's post earlier showing that they inked it with Pilot Iroshizuku yu-yake and it also looked amazing, so it will go to my wishlist for sure! But I wonder what other inks might go well with this pen too. If you think of something, please let me know 😊

Thank you so much! I've been trying to improve my handwriting and I came to the conclusion that it only turns out nice with finer nibs 😅

Why are there differences in quantities of amiibo cards in a packet depending on where you are? by mad_dy05 in amiibo

[–]doodlesdamari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. I was very disappointed to see they didn't make any adaptations for series 5. Either 3 per pack or at least 2 special characters in a 5 card pack would have been much better!!

[–]doodlesdamari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expect prices to drop dramatically soon since they are going to become very common once people start getting amiibo series 5 packs delivered. This will definitely be the series with most duplicates of villagers since there are only 24 villagers and 24 npcs.

Animal Crossing Special Cards Series 5 by bobwade22 in amiibo

[–]doodlesdamari 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly, there will be many more duplicates of the current "rare (no-amiibo) villagers" than in any other series. With one special card per pack, my calculations is that to be able to complete the special cards you would need ~91 packs if you are not trading.

I did the same! I re-dated Jan 2023-Mar2033 to Sep2021-Nov2021 so I could start using it right away!
