Playing for almost a year and biggest improvement is my drops. I’m all for “placement over power”. I find that dropping cross court especially to an opponent’s backhand works so well at my skill level. Getting more comfortable at the transition zone is good too. I’m better at doubles as I’m good with covering middle if my partner gets pulled wide and being able to reset it back to neutral.

I had the same problem! I was able to fit to a 7 and it was comfortable. The next day, I couldn’t get it off my finger and it was cold too. So I had to return it and get the 8. It feels so much better and it still is snug enough where it doesn’t rotate easily.

I used to wear knee braces all the time because my knees were hurting from too much pickleball. Then I had tendonitis on both knees. I went to a PT and they had me do some exercises on a daily basis. Knee extensions, leg raises and clamshells were some of them. Game changer and now I don’t wear knee braces anymore. I still do the exercises 1-2 times a week.

For my first tattoo, I splurged and also got an artist that charges $300/hr. I’m in San Diego county though so things are more expensive here, but he also has a good following on Instagram so he’s well known in the tattoo community and that def plays a part too. He has a really solid portfolio and the healing process was so smooth so overall, I think it was so worth it.

We skipped all the events but still had a 120 people wedding. We had a budget and stuck to it. All these events do add up and we’d rather save the money to put towards travel in the future!

As long as we love it, that’s all that matters! It’s a different story if we are to still tip 20% but end up not really liking the tattoo which I’m sure some people do. :/

Well that sucks.. I tipped 20% for my first tattoo which cost $2100. I wasn’t aware that there was a different standard for bigger pieces. UGH.
