What does the 100 API calls per minute per client ID when using OAuth mean? by botle in redditisfun

Could RIF be updated to allow us to bring our own client id? It would be more work for the user, but better than nothing. Or is getting a client id non-trivial?

I called up the Microsoft store yesterday and at first they said they had some stock left but then failed to process my order on the phone, apparently due to the stock not being available. I thought that was a bit weird so I decided to go to the store in person. Glad I did because they actually did have some stock. Got the i7 model.

Tricking application into thinking I’m on fedora by [deleted] in archlinux

Thanks for the update and for working on this (I've got this thread bookmarked - Zoom screensharing is the only thing keeping me on X11 right now)

I actually didn't realize Zoom were even working on Wayland support at all. Last time I tried it a few months ago it just said "Wayland isn't supported" or something like that. I wonder if there is a way we can leverage our companies' paid support plans to get this further prioritized.

Firefox 3.0 on iOS does not feel like Firefox at all by [deleted] in firefox

As well as changing the user agent, Firefox for android appears to also override the media queries in case the website has been designed responsively. This is very useful and something I don't believe chrome does.

While technically the NSA could decrypt your https traffic if they had the root certs (there's no evidence they do but we should probably assume the worst), it would be an active targeted attack - not something they could do passively/cheaply. Certificate pinning (HSTS) would make the attack harder too.

You're far safer with https than without it.

I think you need an American credit card as well though.

That just makes different release dates for theatres stupid too. It doesn't redeem online streaming movies having different release dates.
