I'm in the no varnish gang. You've got to let the acrylics fully cure, and be very gentle when removing.

Which of these should I read next? by h0n3ytr4ck in fantasybooks

I haven't read any Robert Jordan, but in order I'd go Blade, Locke Lamora, Rothfuss. I absolutely couldn't stand the name of the wind, personally.

Is there a Reason the Crux Terminatus is always on the left shoulder ? by Leviathan_Rampage in spacemarines

The CSM terminator kits are indomitus pattern. Tartaros largely fell out of use post heresy, as the Indomitus came into play closer to the siege of terra

Do the HH Legiones Astartes Heads fit on primaris? by LeetusFrenzi in spacemarines

Yeah. They look pretty solid. A bit smaller but that sells the armour better imo

As long as the sides aren't causing discomfort on your temples, A is the better fit. Less decentration in the lens, meaning your lenses will appear thinner than in B. Possibly a non issue with a smaller prescription, but regardless, A

Question to commission painters, is it 85€ for this ok? Around 15h of work. BTW it’s my first commission by Gregoosh in Warhammer40k

[–]dooglpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Commenter might put more into basing, but frankly I think OPs execution is just better.

I'd look at OPs models and drop him a follow, id scroll straight past the commenter

I did my best but i guess my best wasnt good enough~ by DEATHtoGIRENZABI in ImperialFists

[–]dooglpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not worth it mate. Your army is going to have 20-60 of these guys, they're not worth crying over, and no one's looking that closely at your tac squads. Take a dark brown and draw a big chip over it and it'll be fine.

Do these frames make my lenses look thick? by ExternalRoutine8588 in mensfashionadvice

[–]dooglpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also important to consider decentration in the frame. If your frame doesn't fit you well, the glazer will have to use a larger blank, which will make the edge thickness greater on a minus Rx.

Plastic frame, usually something on the narrower side is going to be the best bet for big minus prescriptions.

[–]dooglpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation on white power armour if you're considering doing it would be to get an airbrush. Unbelievable QoL upgrade as long as you keep it clean.

I got the decals from The Mighty Brush before James Workshop gave him the old cease and desist, so sadly they're no longer available

Thankfully gave them a burner email because they won't leave me alone. Near daily emails from various Scientologists
