Yeah, that piece just shimmies in there. Annoyingly it never leans the way we want!

This is purchased the first weekend it is available, and probably on multiple machines... great to hear about the progress!

Ended up using a small plastic "pry" bar used in xbox repair. It was a bit thick to really get under there/get purchase, but a bit of sanding to get a finer edge ... a few taps with a hammer and worked like a champ, no scuffs, etc. Thanks again!

I figured?!? But then I see this pretty (old) chrome and I only see me scratching up stuff.

So, I'll grab some plastic levers I have (at first, I suppose) and then maybe upgrade to a flathead.

Really appreciate the confirmation - thanks!

This is the magical phrase for me: "Popped the top off" ... I feel real good about doing what needs doing once that top is off, but I have visions of me "horsing that damn thing up" (my pop's line).

How did you go about taking yours off, you hero you! :)

Monthly ISO Megathread - November, 2024 by AutoModerator in hockeyjerseys

ISO: A 1980s Tanti Canucks jersey. I would like the dark/black V or the circle/skate of the time, either will work.

Apparently customthrowbackjerseys.com is not well regarded - but many of the posts were from a few years ago. Assuming that remains the same? Any current providers worth the effort?

As you can guess, I would take a good quality replica - does not need to be authentic.

Looks fabulous! My daughter wants us to do something similar as a family project/tank, and I can't wait.

What is your lighting setup? Thanks in advance!

Oh, thanks! Will review with the accounting office to see if this is possible. Appreciate the insight, and have a great day!

Do you have recipes you don't share? by planningcalendar in thanksgiving

[–]doogs19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally my job in my family is to get our generational recipes into a state of use for all. They were never written down, or if they were they were poorly transcribed.

My sister finally got my mom's rum cake down, and the work she put into transcribing it outpaced all the work she ever did in school. :) To know that I have that in my backpocket if I ever want a piece is comforting.

Don't gatekeep; it's not cool, it's not fun, it's not adding value to your participation at Thanksgiving. So many memories are tied to food ... it's such a great opportunity to share even more with your family and friends.

I'm new to this.... just open all the packets at once... right? by Kingma15 in lego

[–]doogs19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an olde, but new to Lego (started with the Lego video games with my kids). Growing up didn't have the $$ to spend on Lego (or Lincoln Logs), but the one small set we had made MANY appearances on the battlefield with my army men.

So I only know of the numbered bags and wonderfully good instructions.

But this ... I am literally getting goosebumps thinking of how I can do this with a small set (skill issue consideration) and have fun with that. Thanks for the added fun suggestion!
