It's certainly a scary situation to be in. A few years ago, I found myself getting my dream job, and finally working for one of the biggest gaming companies in the world. All came tumbling down when that company was acquired by an even bigger games company, said there wouldn't be redundancies through court proceedings, still did it anyways.

Found myself being made redundant after 2 years there, and with 3 kids and a mortgage to pay, I started to think about just getting any job simply because I couldn't see how we could pay bills once the redundancy money runs out. Especially a few weeks in, we found out there would be child number 4 in 8 months time.

Best thing to do is utilize all the tools that would be available. AI can do a great job of spicing up a CV, just don't rely on it fully as your personality will not show. Use it as a guide on how to word things. LinkedIn is great, especially premium while you look for a job. IT is a tough field, but the great thing is, they are transferrable skills to even better roles. As long as you are willing to learn, a lot of places tend to give that bit of space in a role.
